There's so much BAD A.I. art out there that when some actual good art that stays on model comes along it's refreshing.
Honestly how many fake ALITA: BATTLE ANGEL 2 posters have we all seen and hated for how lazy and off plot and model they are?
To me it was pretty rare finding Alita's fanart. I'm excluding the ones made using the film as model, that isn't the Alita I want to see. All the other's I've found were, if not bad, highly imprecise regarding her body and face. Here is one of my first attempts using previous AI models.
If my objective were only an anime based cyborg girl, these would be quite good, but as Alita's fanarts they are laughable.
But the most recent ones using the Neo Banana engine (what the heck this name!?) are jaw dropping. Mine are not only the best fanart I've ever seen, they are as good as Kishiro's own pencil.
The Hell is here, life itself is hell and humans are at the same time the demons and the damned.
Most get a lot wrong
Things like build, eye color, the shape of her streaks.
One of the things often missed besides the fact that Alita has brown eyes, is the fact that she's like had seven to nine different bodies not counting her child bodies. Krieger, Doll, Berzerker, Motorball, Civilian, TUNED, Imaginos ( 1, 2, & 3) Not including the ones from the deleted timeline, the Light Novel, the movie. Or if there were TWO different 'civilian' bodies post-motorball (It's hard to tell from the outfits she wears)
If the Neo-Banana engine works as well as you boast, I may have to switch to it from Famemonger(Perchance) for my own works. It would be nice to get closer to Kushiro's style.

Very much so.

My preferred arc was still the Tuned Agent (however that imbecile Figure Four is a big minus on it) It was not only Full battle crazed Alita, but it was also the first one I've read and made me fell in love with the manga, I just love her looks and personality. I even have learned by heart one of her greatest speeches: (Figure Four asks her) "Do you really like fighting that much? (And she answers) Yes!! I love being in battle! I love when my body stops being a bit machine and becomes part of me! It all becomes white, it's an incredible high!"
After that I like her imagious body from the now not canonical volumes 9 of Battle Angel Alita.
When I get a good 3D printer, I will try to do some figurines of her as well.

I use to wonder why Alita fell for Figure in the first reading. But as I re-read it as I got older, it finally clicked.
Figure yelled at her, Figure stood up to her, Figure called her out for her nihilism. He fought her and showed he had at least some skill. He impressed her a little with his ability. He tried to fight for her when he could have easily left her to her fate. And he kept surviving. The only other boy she ever loved only really noticed her when she forced him to. And he tore himself to pieces being an even bigger idiot than Figure. Even Ido was killed for knowing her.
She hurt him and he came back for her.
Figure reminded her that she was still a human being after ten years of being a weapon.
Alita loves Figure because he sees her, loves her, and is tough enough to stand beside her.

That's my view on it anyway
That's a good way of rationalizing their relationship... But l only se him as "the good (dumb) guy" that is a very common hero stereotype in Japanese manga. Not so much today, but Kishiro have grown up reading that type of stories with such characters as protagonists. And Alita, let's be true here, is quite dumb. She is only a genius when fighting.
The Hell is here, life itself is hell and humans are at the same time the demons and the damned.
No argument there. Yes, Figure is a bit dumb. A functional adult, skilled in what he knows, but still no genius.
Alita is actually quite smart. I think she just plays dumb for things she's not that interested in. She's rather well read on philosophy and seems to have an almost savant level innate understanding of physical science.
On the same topic, I think Sechs is actually smarter than 'he' appears. It's just that he's still a kid. A kid with an adult body and advanced combat training, but still a kid with little experience in life and some pretty severe issues.
Elf and Zwolf are bimbos. They are too lazy to be all that smart.
The freakin' damascus sword is giving me trouble. It might look good, but there are imperfections that I must fix if I want a successful picture of Alita wielding it. If somebody has good pictures of it, or 3D renderings, and can allow me to use them, I will be thankful.
Here are my best results so far. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1P5C_xJ ... p=drivesdk

I love this second one. It depicts Alita in her full battle crazed mode, "seeing all white" (whatever the hell this means), showing her dextry with the damascus blade and eager for a big, and fat kill. I'll try to do a full body high res of it when I get the damascus blade right.
