We have a discord channel :)

https://discord.gg/rzzV2kq The rules are as basic as can be. [ Use common sense! ] #1 No foul language, harrassing the members, just basically don't be a douche. #2 No politics/religion. It always ends up in people getting butthurt. #3 No advertising, no porn. #4 Enjoy! The translation channel is s...

Re: Most current Alpha version of the ISO

Ah yes, tranlationwise everything is been done on our discord channel. I really should update the board more frequently, i know. Or even better, i'll just open up the discord channel :) https://discord.gg/4fGV2r If you want to help, well we can always use beta testers :) The translation is pretty mu...

Re: Gummn - Mars Chronicle 034 (part 2) Is out!

Unstable release rate for a few years now, stretching of the stories over multiple volumes. More then enough reasons. The movie made the hype light up, but i wonder if it did make the manga more popular. He should hire more assistents to get it all out better and faster. And then the forum lurking i...

Re: Most current Alpha version of the ISO

Some news :) Well the technically part of translating the texts is going slow but good. I managed to find a lot of code that could easily be changed to fit the new translations. The menu's should be working nicely now. Translationwise we are still looking for volunteers. Our main translator has resi...

Re: Most current Alpha version of the ISO

A bit late of a reply, sorry about that. I'm not currently interested in setting up a moneypool of sorts. Mainly because of the way my site has operated all these years. 0 ads, 0 moneymaking and everything on a voluntary basis. I used to have a paypal donation link, but have removed it as it was col...

Re: "I" am working on scenes xxx-yyy

Its a count done on the raw strings where the tags got stripped. But now that i think about it, i may have goofed a little bit. I should do a check on actual 2 byte kanji where spaces, numbers and lower asciii equivalents and such are ommited. I'll refine the counting program. [edit] Fixed it by jus...

Re: "I" am working on scenes xxx-yyy

I'll make a rough word count on each scene. [edit3 fixed. All 2-byte kanji, no lower ascii control characters or tags. excluding punctuations and symbols as well, just kanji] Scene MP001_0.LDP has 1 Entries and counting 18 characters. Scene MP001_1.LDP has 2 Entries and counting 40 characters. Scene...

"I" am working on scenes xxx-yyy

Here you can specify what scenes you want to work on.
This is for translators, editors and quality checkers.
Grab a range and announce you working on it, then when you are finished, announce it again.
That way there won't be lots of duplicate work or people conflicting over the same files.

Re: Translation tool explained

To-do list on the tool: - Color coding the LDP files when they have been fully translated and/or QC'ed, so its easy to identify what is done. - Fix the live preview window so it merges into the existing translation window. - Make it look better on lower resoluion monitors. Its comfortable on a full ...

Translation tool explained

A little tutorial on how to use the tool. Overview: PSX-Tutorial-1.png To the left are all the scene files from the game that contain Japanese texts. Just clicking on them will load that scene file. [Left side files menu] Every scene file has 0, 1 or more text entries. Those that have text will disp...

Re: Translators and editors needed.

This must be my lucky day. I've got a message on my request for translators on romhacking.net and Spectrumal wanting to help :) Thanks for the offer on helping out, if the translator works out then we can start on editing the scripts and play-testing. Would be great to finally get the ball rolling. ...

Re: Translators and editors needed.

Just made a translatior wanted request over at romhacking. Hopefully someone will reply. The TIM/KNJ combo is the kanji image library with the knj index file. I plan to strip the TIM/KNJ of everything not lower ascii. That leaves room for me to "draw" words on places with limited edit space. The TIM...

Re: Most current Alpha version of the ISO

Update: Modified the editing tools some more. One of the biggest and best change is the change of character spacing. With the same box there is now room for 33 characters instead of 25 on each line. Text looks better, and sentenses can be written more coherent. This DOES mean that all the translated...

Re: Translators and editors needed.

Hi there. Sorry for the late reply. Thanks for the offer on helping on the game. We can always use people for beta testing the game. However we are currently a bit stuck on lack of Jap-ENG translators. The tools for game modifications are mostly done. Image-wise the game is pretty much an open book ...

Re: Most current Alpha version of the ISO

Made a few changes in the editor. Look at the grid and legend button. Also i'm almost done with a new alpha release. Nothing major, just the new texts been put in and menu's translated. I'm working on a TIM editor to make adding characters to the game more easy. A TIM file is just an image of all th...

Re: Most current Alpha version of the ISO

@Vega2503 Thanks for the offer. However there are scans of the game inside the game archive provided on the DL page.
So unless its different art i think we are covered.

@AllisonByProxy Its a slow process. but with more people willing to help it should go much faster.

We still need translators!
