It can be a thinner hardcover. The novel wasn't written by Kishiro and would likely cause confusion, + there's the movie novelization on the way.

I'll see what's represented at FanimeCon in a few weeks. Artists tend to stock what will sell, so if there is more hype around Battle Angel and if it gets popular enough, maybe.

The movie's reschedule actually works for Kodansha since the entire manga will have been republished by the time of the December release.

I end up rebuying what I got years ago. :cry: Makes sense though, I don't think Ashen Victor as a standalone story works as well without the tie in to the main series. Another tie in that would make sense to include is the Iron Fist doujin that YK came out with featuring the character basis for Ido ...

I don't mind the delay as long as it's for the better. It also helps Fox that Solo is coming out in May vs. December, when the last 3 Star Wars movies were released.

Most emotional reaction I had was the death of Kayna, I was pissed at Kishiro for that.

For the non-mainstream merch (GNs, DVD) there is ebay and Yahoo Japan Auctions for OOP or Japanese merch. If you are trying for cels or the production drawings, I haven't really seen those on Yahoo Japan Auctions. A couple cel dealers have them, but keep in mind that the OVA is only 2 eps, so there ...

As I heard, Novels of the New trilogy of Star Wars are more detailed versions of movies. So, that is pretty good news, I guess.
