The film will begin shooting in Austin, Texas on October 17, 2016, and will continue filming until February 9, 2017.
Budgeted at an estimated 175 - 200 million dollars , this will be hands down the biggest budget that Robert Rodriguez has ever had.

It's CGI, so the only make-up used is the computer program that's employed to render her face. So we should say, as long as Rosa's acting is good and the guys fiddling with the keyboards do ...

Agree, the other 2 are too tall and look nothing like the character. Plus, Rosa's got an edginess to her that feels more real. If she works hard at this, it could be her breakout role.

Just remembered: I'm assuming whoever they cast will get extensive training in all sorts of martial arts etc (that's why they're casting 8 months in advance - 2017 is supposed to be the start of filming). So I don't think martial arts ability is all that important, more of a 'desirable criterion ...
