I've also forgot to add: I've been right about the movie all along. A lot of people either consider it the original (when asked about it) or answer "I saw the anime, movie is way better.". Nobody at all cares about the manga - even after I explicitly tell people about it. Even in Japan.

Now that everyone is talking about precise adaptation of the manga for a movie/series/anime, I think the real question is why is that so important?
Why someone (and even me I think) would want an adaptation so correct that it could replace the manga?

Literally the last scene in the movie heavily implies she wants to go up to Zalem to kick Nova's ass.
Also the whole thing about the grand champion of motorball (or w/e) getting to go up to Zalem just reinforces that.

Finally saw the movie too. We are all hardcore fans, maybe others more than some but you clearly should take the movie as an adaptation to the manga even if there are a lot of materials included as is in the movie. You can take it as an interpretation of the manga. A different version of the story ...

So apparently the prequel novel for Alita battle angel came out today.
Anyone got the download so we can dissect it? haha

Right now I am not feeling very well and I still have some unfinished work to do, so I will not write an in depth analysis. The "alien creature" looks less bad, still it isn't Alita. Everything else is the same as before: too many elements crammed in just one movie and too many unjustifiable ...

And by the way, what the frell is that ugly sword? Shouldn't it be too early for the Damascus Blade? I really hope that this is Zapan's knife.

It was always Jim's intention to create a photo-realistic version of the manga eyes that we're so accustomed to seeing. We really wanted to honour that tradition and see that look standing next to any human character.

I would really really like to get used to the eyes but I just cant! It looks fucking creepy in contrast to the live action actors with normal eyes! I would love for them to just change the size of the eyes to something smaller but given that it costs millions of dollars for this work I highly doubt ...
