The EMBRIO is a robotic unicycle announced by Bombardier in 2003; it is currently only a conceptual design. If produced, it would not be available until 2025.

The EMBRIO is designed to be a hydrogen fuel cell-powered motorized unicycle capable of reaching highway speeds. The rider would control the vehicle using triggers mounted on handle bars. One would control acceleration, and the other would control braking. To turn, the rider would lean, much like a motorcyclist.

The balance would be similar to that of an inverted pendulum, such as a unicycle. However, in place of the balancing skill a unicyclist must learn in order to ride, the Embrio would utilize an internal gyroscope to keep the rider stable, even at high speeds. //Wikipedia

I am anxious to order mine. It would be a bless in São Paulo traffic!

I wonder how can you drive this?..
And what's more: how fast can you drive this?
I myself think that this cute little baby is the future. If everyone will drive those things streets will be empty.
But still Alita's vehicle is far better — it breases with power.

The landing gear retracts when the vehicle speed reaches 20 km/h but even without the landing gear, the EMBRIO would be stable when motionless because of the gyroscope.

25mph? Right now, even in hard-traffic cities, it would be useless.
We will have to wait for Bombardier.

I still prefer Alita's. "The EMBRIO" it seams to me a fat chicken, but still cool desing. Alita's mobile unit remember me of a Velociraptor from Jurassic Park.

I anxiously await the custom jobs that will someday come!

We have plenty of custom jobs of Kaneda's bike after all.
