That one is done in poser, there are TONS of that crap on deviantart. Using poser is just cheap, that shouldn't be even considered being 3d graphics, because everything there is based on purchased content.

The only decent Alita 3d model I've seen up to date is this one:

Those animations look fantastic. And the animation of the hair is absolutely wonderful.

Here is a colored page from GLO 1 (I know it's one of the Viz Media comics, but they didn't color it this time). It would be nice to see her bodysuit this color ;)

I've tested deformations some more on some GLO phase starting page.

This one:

What it looks like right now, very draft:

And without bones and helpers:

There are some minor issues, which I'll fix later. The only problem is - it won't be PRECISELY the same as in the original page, because it's just impossible to match up to the original drawn version perfectly, that's obvious.

Something roughy looking like Tiphares. No shading, only bare geometry. Just one evening.

I don't quite like the Alita's waist wobbling at the end of the animation - this makes her look amateurish. I think you should smoose the motion, even if it doesn't follows the real physics.
(I wonder how long will it take you to calculate this animation?)

Deviantart http://www.deviantart.com/ is a big online gallery where countless amateurs and even some professionals graphic artists expose their works.

I wrote that as a reference to the Japanese movie Tampopo http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tampopo, a very funny movie. But it seems that nobody got the joke right. It is said about the ideal ramen recipe Tampopo is triying to achieve when it is almost perfected.

And you're an acceptable troll, but unable to discuss without bashing other users with the worst stereotypes possible (at least against russian). If moov is a tovarich siberian dude drinking vodka with his kalachnikov and a picture of Stalin/Putin/whatever, I guess you're transexual living in a favela selling drugs during Rio carnival while shooting homeless children and cutting Amazonian forest (sorry, I'm quite short on stereotypes about Brazil).
Don't forget to reply that I'm a faggot who drinks wine and eats stincky cheese/snails/frogs and always surrenders.

Seriously, I don't know mooov, I'm not one of his "followers" (even if I'm really impressed by his patience at 3D modeling but nothing more), but 95% of your replies really pissed me off. YOU are the very pretentious guy and the insulting one as well. I just want to say : F*CK you and your f*cking stereotypes.
I really hope that you are not such a jerk in real life.

I will stop here, I don't want to feed the troll anymore.

(I guess I'm mad because I met many really nice russian people last year in Norway and all of them are pretty far from your clichés, a part from drinking vodka maybe)
BTW, Brazil and Russia seem to have quite good diplomatic relations, since brazilian citizens don't need a visa to travel to Russia (contrary to EU and US citizens). But I guess for you Russia is still "a country with bad people inside". God bless America and the good old days of the Cold War.
Dharko wrote:maybe the cold of Rusia froze her soul... a week at the beach could help her
Yeah, everybody knows that there is only winter in Russia, 12 months on 12. And tons of snow everywhere at every-time, from the north to the south, from west to the east. Even if this summer there were some extreme heats in the west of the country, causing fires and smokes. (Never heard of it ? No ? Not surprising).
So let say, nice job mooov. You should submit your work to James Cameron when completed.
Hum, wait...
Nevermind

Please dude, don't make me play Captain Obvious.
About brazilian stereotypes, I was SARCASTIC. I have NOTHING against Brazilian people. I just wanted to show him that using stereotype is just LOW. That's why I used "faggot wine drinker and cheese/snails/frog eater" for myself.

And I forgot to add on my profile that I'm french, my apologizes.

For "tovarish", I was speaking about kamugin (he was calling mooov "tovarish" in a obvious way to provoke him), not about you... In fact, I don't have anything to reproach to you.

I didn't mean you were referring to me, I just meant that the same word can be used in different contexts.
About stereotypes, if you are from Paris you must be aware that there are many Brazilian transvestites in Champs-Élysées and in Bois de Boulogne. The fact is that French men love their services, once they go to Paris and get rich. In Brazil they starve, you see.

1) I'm not from Paris. From the west of France, near Nantes, to be precise.
2) Hum, how do you want to reply to this ? There is shit everywhere. I can list a lot of shitty stuff about my country I'm not proud of. As I say, you don't choose where you born. And I repeat, I don't believe in any "stereotypes" I listed on Brazilian. I don't (or I try hard not to) believe in any stereotype about any civilization. I apologize if you took it bad, but my point was not to bash Brazilian people. Kamugin could have been American, German or even French, I would have had the same reaction.

So, you may be French, right? Let's say that I have a better image of the formely USSR than of the France, but I don't want to start a war with the French now.

About all you wrote, I have something to say:
You are mistaken to say the the least. I never called moooV a "tovarisch" (comrade) with the intent to offend him or the Russians. I called him that way as a friendly joke since I like to think that I'm a communist, but I have no base to think that him is or was communist just because he is Russian, that was just a joke. By the other hand it is true that I've used some Soviet stereotypes a bit too much and since moooV complained to me I never made use of them again.

I equally used some Brazilian stereotypes in other occasions if you hadn't noticed: football, Carnival, coconut, banana and recently "saci pererê", so I make fun of myself in the same way. You're taking me too seriously, you have no sense of humor I think.

You was really offensive, much more than I ever was, but I'll let that pass since in a way I called for that and besides your reaction was so exaggerated that it amused me more than offended me.

Inté!

Good to read that. I guess I misunderstood your attitude.
I apologize for my extreme reaction then.

And don't worry, I do have a sense of humor, and I often make fun of myself (and about pretty much everything), but as a human being I do lost my patience from time to time. As I explained, I have some very close russian friends, and some of them are tired that a lot of people are seeing them in a bad way just because they're Russian (especially... the french people).

And you can say whatever you want about France, I'm far from being a patriot and I will even agree with you 95% of the time (but we DO NOT eat snails and frogs everyday... I actually never tasted frogs)

Let's make peace will you ?

Strangely enough some russians like to use the word "comrade" speaking english, and also some use the word "comrade" while actually speaking in russian (mainly as a meme). Some of them say that is because they don't like the word "tovarishch" (note the ch at the end of the word).
I also don't understand, why the one who trows up a couple of glasses of a wiskey is a noble man, but the guy who use up a quater of bottle of vodka is an alcoholic?

Oh, yes, about the vodka. I mentioned it not to suggest that someone is a drunkard, I mentioned it as another stereotype of the Russian people, like "cachaça" is a well known Brazilian drink. I actually tasted cachaça only once in my life (I can't stand strong beverages), it is an example of how stereotypes are untrue. But I got drunk more than once with vodka mixed with coke (the drink, not the drug!). Actually vodka is much appreciated here.
(♥ a-ah~ i like shitstormes ♥)
So do I, it seems :P
By the way, thank you for explaining the current use of "tovarishch".

This one is nearly done.

In fact, it's finished, but I'm not sure about it - most likely I'll have to redo the hair - it has turned out to be very noisy when zoomed in this close. And reduce the overall grain. Also, I've corrected the face colors, so it won't be as grey as before.

It will be ready as soon as I'll be sure about it - within several days, a week, or maybe more, I don't know.
