It was more a cocoon of some sort that had all information of Alita and Fata Morgana in it. The omake (funny bonus comic) at the end of the volume showed that Deckman 100 actually planned for the cocoon to take over Sechs' body.

@gilsand: What do you think you missed? Alita had a brainchip since GLO vol. 01 but since Rosco killed Nova before his new backup-cycle, the regenerated Nove woudn't know this fact, thus Alita carried her own brain inside the P-box, unbeknownst to her and Nova. Supa Nova however (a fusion of the Nova that went into space with Alita and the brainchip of the Nova that Rosco killed earlier) now knew the secret of the P-brain and offered Alita the deal. The rest is exactly like you described it.^^ Super Nova got Alitas brain, Lou's brain went into the P-box for exchange.
Lou's brain is still inside the box. Such an important part of the story wouldn't be swept away somewhere between the lines. And although we learned of quite some company names in GLO, "P" is definitely not one of them (leaving the question if P has any meaning)

Also, what about Figure Four? He didn't even showed up in the few scrapyard-chapters... A side story about him would be nice.

Interesting question. I had initially taken that as a sort of jacket to protect the brainchip, but now you made me think. What exactly has Melchizedek done?

Yeah, I miss Figure Four, too. Such an underdeveloped, but tough character.

This is where my confusion is derived.
I am looking at my hard copy of Vol. 10As you can see in th VIZ Media version there is an "F" on the box.
Where the hell did they get an "F" box from?
One definitly shows a "P", the other an "F".

変 (hen) - literally means strange, but is pretty much synonomous with hentai...
編 (hen) - means a volume or collection (of literature)
hen (chicken) - whilst tasting pretty good usually have no literary or sexual connection.

So for the interested ones, Glenat, which is the French editor for GLO, says that the vol.15 will be the last published volume in july from Shueisha and the negotiations will start January next year about the publication with Kodansha. I guess then it will be the case for the Viz releases because I think the French one are translated from the Viz ones.

My question remains: what about the two phases not included in volume 15? Will they be published in Kodansha's first volume or will they become another apocrypha?

I don't get your point Sergio. They will probably not be erased like this and even if it was published in Shueisha, the complete volume edition, as to know the 16th here, is always done by Yukito I think, so there may not be a problem for him to include them in.

Either that or Shueisha publishes a second edition of volume 15, including the remaining chapters. If by any means they become new apocrypha, I will start a world campaign to sue Shueisha, Kodansha and Kishiro, everyone in the same package. Accusation: crime of lesa-literature.
