Alita fought Caerula. Well check out page 58 of Volumen 6. The Death kanji is the signature of her finishing tecnique: the Eight Block Death Gate Array.

It seems that is a sort of Cærula's signature.

Then that's a badass signature...

About time things went down for Trinidad, but I still think it is a bit anticlimatic to have him get his head diced, then thrown out of the airlock, after... how many years since he made Gally lick his shoes?

Nova's "death" in the original was awesome. As was his comeback.

Only a few months since the shoe kissing.

I thought that Mbadi's death was actually poetic justice. The hero who saved the Solar System who has been renowned for decades dies a somewhat ignominious death far from the public eye and the only other witness won't reveal the details, very similar to how he defeated Vares and got the first bio-chip.

So I guess there is no Super Mbadi coming back at some point.

Probably not... but don't underestimate Nova.
I mean he managed to reconstruct alita's brains from far more pieces.
But then again he's currently not in his lab.

Why do you say that? The ZOTT was expected to last six days. Even if you consider it was interrupted (how long? one day? two?), it makes no sense to say GLO has been running for 12 years.

It lasts for six days in the manga, in the "real world" takes almost twelve years to publish all phases and finish this arc

Yea, Super Nova is long gone to Mars with that head that crawled up to report that Alita had broken into the brain storage access. The bits of Mbadi where also blown through a window in a random part of the station in the middle of all the chaos.

Chances of anyone ever knowing what happened to him are low.

I was just a little surprised that there was not a comment on the side pointing out the death kanji. I'm mildly curious how many people would notice it and how many would think it was just random cracks in the glass. I have a vague memory of her also carving that kanji into a rock or something during the flashback to the long winter that told the story of Arthur so its probably a technique she learned a long time ago. I doubt it was needed for someone like Mbadi without his extra brainchips but she probably did not know he had lost that power and wanted to be sure of the kill. She might have been waiting for a chance to get him in an "alley" away from his guards for years.. If anything she would have learned patience.

I found the reference.

I had said i remembered something about it. She did not carve the kanji but she developed the technique during the flashback. Volume 9 pg 183-184 is when she gained the basis of the technique and might have been what i was remembering. For some reason I had an image in my mind of it being carved during one of her fights with the other vampires, looking at the image from vol6 pg 58 its possible I was getting that mixed up with something else. I had not read those for a year or more. The releases are so slow that a lot of time can pass from when you last read the early books till now..

Je suis assez d'accord pour que se soit les teams française qui fassent les trads françaises. En principe, même si glénat fait pression sur les teams, ce ne sont pas elles qui font les scans. De plus, GLO est un manga suffisamment "d'adultes" pour que les personnes qui le lisent sachent un minimum d'anglais, enfin j'espère.

I pretty much agree that the french teams should do the french releases. Normally, even if the editor in fance is pushing them, the teams don't make the scans. Furthermore, GLO is a sufficiently "grown up" manga that the one reading it may know some english to understand it. I would rather say, if you are not from ritual, you can always create an account there and do the releases yourself!

I think that Mbadi was decisively dealt with, but if YK ever got bored, say 10 years from now, I would easily believe that he had a back-up brain-biochip or two (or four) stashed some where.
