I really want to see why Yoko was chosen for Operation Maulwurf over Tzykrow's objections and if she got beat by Erica just before (and maybe he wanted Erica for the job?). It could tie into this Dasein conspiracy.

It has been quite a while since I last dropped a line here. One year and a few months I'm sure. The last time was when I posted about my newborn daughter, Júlia Alita, and she is one year, seven months and a few days old now. I went through a lot of things since then, the most remarkable one being a 41 days stay in a psychiatric hospital. My Desty Nova days Maybe I tell about it later since It's tiresome to write about complicated things in English, I'm not skilled enough.

To the topic presto! I'm keeping track of Team Pixie Dust releases since you chickens dropped the series. They're doing a splendid job, much better than you were ever able to! This new phase has been good so far, not awesome but good, however this latest chapter was unsightly and anticlimactic. It was like that our long long awaited reunion between Alita and Frau X/Erica? WTF, Kishiro-san! One thing jumped to my eyes: the quality of the art dropped, I'm very sensitive to issues like that and I dare to say that maybe the chapter wasn't drawn by Yukito but by one assistant. This being the case or he wasn't in his best shape while working on it. Maybe you can notice how the art seems generic and rushed in pages 12 (I'm not counting Pixie Dust intro), Sechs' panel, page 21 Erica's and Alita in the last page. Yukito's mecha design is far better than that, Alita and Sechs in those panels are below his standards, more like drawn by a cover artist. That chapter got the privilege of colored pages and the art is so uninspired. I hope he redrawn the whole chapter for the tankubon.
About the reunion of those two, it was to be like that? Something so casual, without any build up suspense?!

It was as shallow as a Marvel's or DC's script! I'm very displeased.
And on top of that we learn Alita took a three year detour to Venus to get a talking, ugly smiling, Predator like shoulder cannon. How unsightly! Were are her blades!? Her wings? Her goddess like aura!? (no, I don't miss the tail)

Waaaait wait wait wait...

I was checking a few dates on the timeline aaaand.. The Mathusalyzation is developed the same year in which Yoko is sent in mission to Ieru and it is divulged by Ping Wu one year later... So, isn't Gally mathusalyzed??? I always assumed she was and that's how her brain survived for 200 damn years in the Scrapyard. Cyborgs grown old as everyone, even if but their brains is biological. Erika must be mathusalyzed too, how can Gally not to be? Something doesn't fit well.

Yoko was in stasis after crashing in the Scrapyard all that time and I always thought that Methuselization only applied to humans and that cyborgs were effectively immortal as long as their brains were healthy and intact. If cyborgs need it too to keep their brains immortal, YK is contradicting himself.

The only characters who underwent the process AFAIK are all human:

*Aga Mbadi
*Ping Wu
*Rem Rei
*Martin Tsang
*Yani

Also, the Brain Incubator has 20,000 Tipharean brains with the oldest going back to at least 191 years per the brain chip becoming mandatory starting in ES 400. Methuselah tech would have had to have been applied to those brains too.

Brains are living organs. They can't possible live more than the 100 years at most. Erica either replaced hers with a chip or underwent some kind of Methuselization. Or this is a plot hole.

A reminder folks. Brain chips aren't the only way to go. Zekka for instance has a synthetic brain.

As Kazu-kun says. We see a lot of "senile" full cyborgs in alita. For istance, Esdog. Since he was a motorballer, his body is full cyborg. Or Jashugan's master.

The stasys ipotesys would work, but i always assumed it was a missjudgmen by Ido. I mean, Ido knows nothing about mathusalyzation, which is a technology unknown in Salem and the Ground with the sole exception of Nova, who has a mathusalyzating technology of his own throgh nanotech reconstruction. So, finding a 200 and more years old brain still alive and young, he took a reasonable guess (in the panel itself he is not sure about what kept her alive, and guesses "some kind of stasys").

Probably, in the early years of the project, that was just the reason why. Then sometime Kyshiro must have come out with the mathusalyzation idea. And Erika and Yoko should fall into that.

That is really interesting. In Last Order 16, Kishiro gave wings to Gally in order to explain an image in the first volume of the first series. Those wings were completely nonsense. At least Danko, also put as an explanation, seems to be more interesting.

By the way, that image is mirrored.

yeah well, we were alone on this for 10 years so i guess we are alright
