Can't believe Yukito missed another deadline in 2018 at evening magazine issue 2018 8, I wonder what is making him miss his deadline twice already this year, his drawing shouldn't take too much time, the creator Berserk always keeps delivers his deadlines and his drawing takes 24 hours per page to draw, the return date, how long his hiatus, he would never outright be wrong when it returns. Yukito Kishiro has missed his deadline twice already. The series is slow enough, but with predicament the series will be even slower, though I don't want it rushed for certain, I don't want it too be too slow as well, all we can really do is wait

Well he just got another dog. And his first dog got a surgery recently, he also took his first dog to a photo shoot this month.

Yeah, dude's got 2 puppies to look after on top of the manga. I really hope this doesn't become Gunnm's version of Berserk's idolmaster meme

Well glad to see someone understood the blog since I can't read japanese but now we know and I guess he's got more responsibility but his brother is always helping him as well

He's also probably finalizing any movie tie-in artwork as the delay probably gave more time for more promo work.

Sad news, Yukito's first dog died on the 29th. His dog was ill since the 26th, that might have factored into why he missed the deadline, sounds like a case of sudden encephalitis (inflammation of the brain) and wow poor doggie was just 9 months old RIP

Oh it's just the meme that the author kept going on hiatus because he's playing idolmaster. He mentioned playing the game in some interview and it's been memed ever since. Yoshihiro Togashi also have his version of this being that he plays lots of mahjong and only draws hunterXhunter to pay off his mahjong losings

So, basically, if we go japan, kidnap his dogs and sell them to someone else we get a faster pace for GUNNM? Shall we arrange that?

With what I've seen from 1st volume of mars chronicle especially silent corps I'd like to see yukito do a mecha war type story like mobile suit gundam thunderbolt just have it rated 18+ from getgo so that way less editorial interference like with viz rereleases of gunnm. I have no idea what it is about the artwork but I want to see his vision of mecha wars would be. Hopefully after mars chronicle & or any mars chronicle side stories he gets picked up by sunrise for AU gundam manga series like thunderbolt mangaka.

Be careful of what you wish for though, Mars do have its own mechas, and from how Yukito likes to genre-bend gunnm there might be a Martian mecha war coming down the line.
Based on motorball being his take on the sports genre and zott his take on shounen tournaments it could only be great or kinda ok sometimes bad

Art takes its time. Honestly, I'm glad he's still working.
