not possible as nova is part of the gene project and that was by using dna organ which has nothing to do with maske tumor

Anticlimactic is what this chapter is. Here is the plain truth: Alita/Yoko/HK-BR035 is a mask tumor extracted from Nollin. I was hoping for something more sophisticated, like some DNA tweaking. After all, what would stop a mask tumor from developing mask tumors? Herr Ngema is no genius whatsoever, his research didn't go beyond cutting pieces out of his subjects and observing how they developed.

By the way, "HK-BR035" has any hidden meaning or is it just a random designation?

They are like a parasite pathogen disease so the host cells are only affected including organs and brain of course, so most likely maske tumor won't grow within themselves, makes me wonder what is in the report as it could explain more detail for this. But I wish Yukito talk about other plot points instead such as the six eyed raven mention that about five times already and the what's in the note. Also he mention he gave the tumors adequate condition to make his experiment work so it isn't just cutting and observing and most likely tried new approaches to make it work.

I hope he talks about this reveal again and catch us off guard in ways we will not expect. Such as the p-box what looked so anticlimatic in the first place turns out to be a pretty cool plot twist in the end.

I don't see the logic in this, but Biological Gally won't develope Maske Tumor. Why not? She would have, already. It have been established and repeated that if you extract the brain from a Maske Tumor afflicted individual and you turn him in a full cybor (as tried on Muster's father) the brain itself grow Maske Tumors and die. Gally's brain have been alive for a something like 240 years and it never showed any sign of growing tumors. Even if you don't take into account the 200 years of matusalized hybernation of her brain in the scrapyard, she was already 17 or something like that when she attacked Ieru, and after Ido revived her the whole Gunnm and Gunnm: Last Order, according to chronology lasts about 17 years more. And this, most definately, qualifies the 24 old Figure 4 as the 234 years old Gally's Boy Toy.

Notice only the host's brain and other parts are affected. we never seen the tumor develop tumor from what we seen and that's likely the case they are like a virus or disease. That they aren't a disease within a disease only host's parts are affected that is my guess anyway

Yep yep, he mentions it in the very first chapter of Last Order.

To read that "sabulum morten" means "sand of Mars" is an atrocity for someone who studied Latin like me. Why not simply "sand molten"???

Gally is Mathusalized. That's why her brain menaged to survive in the scrapyard for 200 years. I've always assumed this was the case.

Actually i think that Kishiro came out with the mathusalization idea later during his work. Probably in the early stages when Ido said "her brain survived in a sort of hybernation" that was meant to be all the reason why. Then when Nova comments the unusual structure of her brain maybe he was already thinking about mathusalization, or maybe it was meant to be another reason.

All this remains anyway consistent, since on Earth and Salem the procedure was still unknown. So even Nova couldn't have been able to get what the alteration was about at a glance.

Well, what if the tumour's brain itself has slightly different properties from normal brains, thus making tumour brain so resilient. Also, could the study of the tumor's brain have in some way contributed to mathusalization?

I presume that mathusalization is what the "Treasure of Mars" disc is about. It was pointed not to be a cure but a way to avoid death.
