Well. Let's face it. Whatever the reason might be, Kishiro has no interest nor motivation for this project any longer. I believe Mars Chronicles should have never been started. Or it should have been more of an anthology of short stories losely connected to Gally's past (and as a matter of fact it is) without a fil rouge of a plot to keep Kishiro in check.

I didn't think i would have seen the day i had enough of GUNNM myself.

I donno, his contemporary Kentaro Miura's death shook him quite a bit.

I think Mars Chronicle should have been all prequel and no current...lol...starting after a secret 2 years on Venus is now an annoyance more than a "gee I wonder"...he was locked in for a while with Frau X and...I BET he wanted Evil Erica now to oppose Evil Alita then and as we know, Evil Alita kills her.

that was an odd choice to make they should have just done all flashback then go back to present it would be more cohesive that way

The going back to the present thing does feel like quite a bit of a teaser, but I don't think it is (or rather was) pointless or non-cohesive. I think at the time Kishiro intended it to be a reminder (possibly more for himself than for the readers) that this project has a main point and a cohesive plot line, rather than just being an anthology of short stories loosely connected to Alita's past.

I never thought of it that way, I guess it works as a recap and a reminder that all of this will connect as Kishiro is confident about all of these plot elements making sense but admittedly state that it will take a long while for the story to conclude, I guess the wait and suspense is killing me that I am impatient and want my answer now but that is how i feel in general but if kishiro know what he is doing then I will wait

Summer(june, july, august) if not another promise that couldn't be kept but ideally summer as were told anyway
