You know, I hate to sound like this

Because I'm an eternally grateful man for all that has been done....and this isn't directed at anyone at Rippersanime, here...

But this waiting is KILLING ME. :\ Both for the new raws and for the translations. I work late nights, and I keep saying to myself "Any day now." I get home at roughly 1 in the morning, and I keep expecting to see it. I even do that "Don't Think About It" routine, and it's draining me.

I guess what I'm asking...are there any rough dates for the release of either? Pretty please? I promise not to be a bother, I'm just really, really hungry for it, man.

Thanking you in advance. :)

Looks like it gonna be a six chapters release. We are working on phase 65 and 66 right now.

We was expecting to release it two weeks ago. But our translator bonedaddy has been really busy, and have not been able to translate the missing parts on the chapters. So that is why it´s delayed...again :(

Hope he can get some spare time soon. Or else we must keep waiting(if not someone is willing to help us on the missing parts)

I think, it'll be better to read a whole volume, than read it chapter by chapter. I've downloaded chapters from vol 10 and I haven't read them yet, because I'm waiting for a WHOLE volume 10.

2Twitchywrote:
I'm exhausted by it too, but after reading whole gunnm more than 30 times in a half a year, it feels like you are slowly going mad. So I thought that it would have been good for me to stop it, so i've archived it with password which i don't know[it would be generated after 1st of august] just after reading vol.9.

Three or four months have passed, and it isn't any easier. Like it'll eat brain forever. Some sort of drug, really...

I've decided that i'll read whole gunnm again only when a volume is released,
f.e. vol.10 released ->I read whole gunnm & v10->i pack it and wait for next vol. and i think, It'll be harder after reading vol.10 and next, like drug addict.

Anyway, release it as soon as possible.

I'll complain to the Viz people again at Comic-Con. Maybe they'll speed up a bit.

finally some news about volume 10 at yukito.com
Maybe it will be a full LO 10 release instead of a bunch of chapters.

In my opinion, It'll be better to release it by volumes, not by chapters.

every other well-known monthly manga (berserk, claymore, hellsing, ...) is scanlated chapter by chapter

why should we agonize in hunger ? :'( :(

2HumanRage:

Because released by volumes, it'll be percepted as a whole, not as a some amount of chapters.

You read one chapter, you switch to other problems (study, work, computer), you start forgetting it.

A simple example of my point of view:

Imagine: There is a movie on a DVD. It's separated into chapters (it's always like that), but it's played continuously.

And now imagine that you watch one chapter, wait a month and watch another, then wait a month more and watch the following one.
I'd prefer to wait a year, and watch a whole movie continuously, than watch it chapter by chapter with a period of one month.
Obviously, you'll chose to watch it whole in one time, than by bits (1 bit a month).

Here it's the same situation. When you read it chapter by chapter, you percept it as a soap opera [aaa... what will be in the next chapter???].
When you read it as a volume, you percept it as a continuous movie.

Also, when you wait for it longer, you'll get more happiness (satisfaction) from reading it.

pleasure by frustrating hmmm ?

let me tell you : i read GLO for years, and re-read it several times a year. that's the sole manga i buy, and i reread it every time i buy a volume.

i used to read it in full raw jap, even if i wasn't understanding anything :D
i don't let anything pass in any frame, and 6-month withdrawal is a real pain, i would prefer a monthly dose ;)

Finally the discussion I was waiting for!

About what Int29ah says, I respect your preference to read it volume after volume. I think that reading a volume instead of a chapter is reporting the problem somewhere else. Since the story won't end at the end of the volume, we, GLO addict, will anyway think "what will happen next?".

I share HumanRage's opinion, wait more than 6 month for a volume to be completely aired is an agony.

In my opinion it is not a bit selfish to say: "I want a volume release. Too bad for the people who want to read it chapter per chapter" (I point no one, it s just a reflexion about the idea) while it is easy to wait till the whole volume is done before reading it for those who prefer so.
For those who wants to read a whole volume, they are free to wait while the others can read it chapter per chapter.

:D So everyone is happy :D

Chapters.
The manga is meant to be read chapter by chapter anyway.

Anyway, I'll wait until each next volume is complete, then read it, then wait for next.

When you miss something very much, you get more pleasure when you get it . When you read it every week, you can get bored and fed up of it. So, i'm trying to prevent getting fed up of it for myself.

I've made an experiment on myself - i went to a resort without a notebook for a month (you see - i haven't done any posts during this time), because i didn't want anything to remind me of gunnm, i tried to forget it, but all i've got is head ache and real hallucinations. HALLUCINATIONS.

I'll start re-reading whole gnm when v10 is released, then pack it back and try to forget about it until next vol is released. :(
