i was just looking at Yukito Kushiro's website when i saw theses pictures of a new Alita Figurine
i have two thoughts about this:
1) that figurine looks fookin' AMAZING!!!
WARNING: Possible Spoiler Alert!
2)The body design, while bearing some slight similarities to the Imaginos and the TUNED bodies, looks different from any of Alita's previous bodies...could this possibly be what Alita's new body will look like?

Yeah, it comes bundled with a special edition of Bashaku Ondo, to be released in November, I think.
I want it bad. The final version will be colored, but hasn't been finalized yet.
It's poseable, and looks like parts are swappable. I'm guessing the body is supposed to be a meld of several that she's had throughout the series, so you can put the Tuned gear on her, or the Imaginos blades, or the Motorball skates, and it'll look decent.

Soo... any ideas where to sign up for the preorder of the special edition?
Preferably a link... since I can't read Japanese.

Not on sale, even pre-order, yet. They say it'll happen sometime this fall.
It, I think, is included with a special edition of several Gunnm Gaiden stories, including Bashaku Ondo.

Tsutomu Kishiro emphasizes it will be EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to obtain one of these. You'd need to preorder at a specialty shop in Tokyo. Only 3000 will be made.
And he says the body design is a special-made one for the figurine, and bears no connection to the comic.

Damn!
M-O-O-N... That spells "EXTREMELY DIFFICULT to obtain".
But still... Hope dies last.
Any info on the shops address or any other useful info?

Any specialty shop or big manga shop would probably be fine.

Holy crap that looks just awesome!
I want one! @_@ gotta have it!
I remember hearing about people in Japan who will buy something for you and ship it to you for a price. Does anyone know anything about that?
I'm sure there are at least a few people here that would like that figure and I know I'd pay extra for that service. We should get a contact or something...

Some asked about shopping service. Of what I know (i'm into lolita fashion) celga.com gets you figures.
Also I think you should be available to get these a while after the release from yahoo japan.

I've contacted my usual shopping service and gave me thumbs up for my order.
Anyone who wants the contact, please pm me. I don't offer sharing shipping for the figures since I'm located in south america.

Great that you got it too

Waiting for december 19th then.
If you care about how long does it take to arrive from japan... via EMS it takes like 3-4 days to get to USA as far as I know. Via Airmail it takes like 11-12 days from japan to arrive to Chile (where I live).

Here is another seller mentioned on the Yukitopia forum by kitt:
http://benippon.com/shop/product_info.p ... s_id=11461
Apparently, you can preorder directly from their site and they deliver practically everywhere and take practically any form of money transfer.
No info on reliability though...

Fascinating! The figure is sold out at be Nippon!
My order was just in time.
I hope the banktransfer will be successful, because it isn't so simple to transfer money from Germany to an japaneese bankaccount. (In Germany the most people have no CreditCard).

They were probably only able to secure a few. It IS a limited edition item.
