I just watched a wonderful, wonderful movie, it's basically a sum of what modern western societies have come to. I knew most of the stuff in it thanks to readings and self-introspection, but yet this is a good sum of all the kind of thoughts a modern man can have from the societies we live.

Watch this, come back and let's have a little discussion between educated people

. Mostly let's go further than they do, and let's see why the kind of societies they want to promote, a open and technologically-focused will not work, I personally think that's those thinkers underestimate human nature to the point of even refuting it.
So yes, watch it (or watch again lol) and come back

!

Even though this isn't GUNNM related, I will comment. From what i can tell, this film is divided into 3 parts:
1. Christianity, and I guess all the Abrahemic religions, are just modernized sun-worshipping pagan religion created and used by the rich and powerful (the Roman Empire, for example) to control the masses.
2. 9/11 was a conspiracy organized by the US government and the "US-Christian Illuminati".
3. That this same Christian Illuminati staged the sinking of the RMS Lusitania (WWI), the Great Depression, the assasination attempts on the congreesman Louis McFadden in the 30s, the bombing of Pearl Harbor (WWII), and the Gulf of Tonkin Incident (Vietnam Conflict).
So basically, this Illumnati-type organization is controled by the the US government, the Counsil on Foreign Affairs, the Security and Prosperity Partnership of North America, and the Federal Reserve. They use Christianity to control and manipulate the US society.
And their ultimate goal is unite the US, Canada, and Mexico into one super-nation, called the North American Union, similar to the European Union, the African Union, and the Asian Union. And these super-state will merge into a One World government. Thus establishing world domination and creating a unified global dictatorship, under God, of course.
Wow, this kick major ass. Maybe Warren Spector should include this in the new Deus Ex 3 game. This is a conspiracy theorist dream come true. But I don't buy it. Conspiracy theories are just dillusiones, made by people with too much free time, because their normal lives are too boring. It's much more exciting to live in a world where you believe that the government is secretly conspiring with the multinationals to secretly create a New World Order by using religion and military force, and it's your job to stop them.
Personally I believe that the US governement is too incompetent to even try somthing like that, plus most of this stuff isn't supported by the evidence. Much of it is even contradicted by the evidence.

I think you misinterpreted some part of the movie lol
edit: Ok, obviosuly you saw the 2nd movie, not the first one. I haven't seen the second one, seeing it as just a remastering of the first movie. I will watch it and see if it is as good as the first movie.

I've watched both ZG movies today. This thing is really brain-exploding, however I've already knew half of it by bits. Movie has just structured it for me.
Also, I'd say that even if this movie explains everything using American system example, it can be applied to ANY country with minimal deviations. So, we are having a world economical crisis right now, which is a system crisis.
That's strange, but I've had an idea about money similar to brought up in this movie, about 2 weeks ago, although in another form.
Idea in movie was: "Money produces debt and debt produces money. More money cause more debt and vice versa".
My idea was crummy, but here it is: "You get money in exchange for what? People work - they produce money. And they get money for work, but what do they pay it with? It's not redeemed by gold anymore (That was about Rubbles, but this is applicable to a dollar in the first place). o_0" - A really smoked up thing. As it seems, I've had a right doubt after all.
PS.
I use "Smoked up" [пыханная тема] as an ideomatic (not idiotic, as you thought

) expression, which means some crazy idea, which can be either completely inadequate, or completely adequate because of it's completely inadequate look.
That explanation of "smoked up" was already smoked up.
PSPS.
I don't smoke anything, nor have ever smoked. Really.

Smoking is not a crime, as long as you don't do it near me when I'm eating outside
One thing those movies made me learn, is that people need to realize that money in itself is nothing more than a paper, what give value to this paper is the guarantee the government (and then by extension their military) give to you that you can get something with this money. The goal of money is not to make more money as the financial system was convincing us before the crisis, the goal of money is to achieve progress. Its not 'more money for more money' but 'money as a medium between activities'.
