Would anyone know what the measurements of the Titan blade that female Sechs had? My husband is planning to make a full-scale replica of it for my cosplay but all I have are the measurements for male Sechs' blade which is larger in size.

I had always thought it was the same.

Female Sechs was the same hight as Alita(150)
too bad it's no good pictures of the actual size of it. But if you look at page 127 at volume 1.
When it's folded, it looks like it's maybe 120 cm.

It's a picture when Sechs is a guy, it tells how long the blade is.

I'm pretty sure it's stated somewhere.
from memory, I'd say roughly 1m when folded, and something like 2m80 when opened,

in Vol 5 it says:
Modified Titan Blade
Folded Length: 1.6 m
Weight: 43 kilos

Modified Titan Blade
Extended Length 6.25 m

So the blade was also fixed when Sechs changed his sex.

Sechs is now 40 cm taller then before.
So the blade should also be 40 cm taller.
160cm - 40cm = 120 cm.

It would be kickass if he made the actual balisong joint on the weapon, but I guess that's a bit too much work.

The blade is 160 cm long.

damn, I feel so weird whenever I realise how small Gally is. her body being super thin and all, it would be so weird to see her irl.

The weapon was modified to fit Sechs new body.

If you want the blade to fit you. Take your size and cut of 40 cm's. If you are 170, the size for you should be 130.

And the old one should be 150 cm - 40 cm = 110 cm.

Sechs is my exact height it seems!

Cosplay or not you will probably have a difficult time with the securities wherever you go with that huge blade.

I bet it is made of paper-mâché and not of titan^^
Otherwise you'd not only have a problem not to get into the convetion, but you'd have no problem to get into a police car

Btw: do you plan to make any photos? Of your outfit of course, but also of other freaky outfits!?

not to mention the weight problems with titan :O maybe you can cut the wheels of the police cars in order to escape.. lol

imagine sechs to fight mere policemen.. no way he´s been captured.. [i´m overdoing it a little, i know ]

Okay i think i'm far to late to help but i thought i can still contribute to this thread even if it's to late.

Here are a pic i thought which could be usefull both from volume 1.



This is one of the rare scenes in which the blade is relative straight to Sechs's body and even though the perspective is a little bit off it still allows some measuring.

As visible the blade seems to be at least one third taller than Sechs herself. Considering Sechs being the same size as Gally (150 centimeter) i would guess and give the others right that the blade is around 40 cm taller than Sechs, which means unfolded it's around 190 centimeter long.

For the folded state there is a good image later when Elf picked her up you can see Zwölf carrying the blade. There you can see that it sizes is from her stomach to the head. Again taking the measuring image into account and using Gally size as basis it would mean the blade has a folded size around 50-60 centimeters.

Like i said, i know it's to late but i still wanted to write here.

Volume 1, after Gally dodged Sechs Quench gun by lifting a part of the stage and running underneath it.

Strange that you can't remember it, it even get's particular remembered in volume 10 when Gally remembers Novas comment about the P-Box being the most important object of Earth.

Bad news: I had planned to wear this to the San Diego Comic-Con but fate had other plans and I can't go nor can I finish the cosplay or blade. Oh well, more time to make it even better for next year's con I suppose

Dead thread, I know, but I just wanted to show my support for anyone attempting Gunnm cosplay. (Hooray! You can do it!)
My own Titan blade was limited to 13', about 3/4s scale, from what I figured. I'm planning on cosplaying Fizziroy Sechs for the 2010 con season, so I'll be building a blue Titan pretty soon.

That Titan Blade of yours is out of proportion. You should rebuild it.
Yes, that font color is absurd!!!

Wait wait wait, ok the font color is one thing, but the blade? My, its well done, I like it!

Also, the BAA series don't has so much great cosplays, sadly. I don't want to be mean but about 70% of the females aren't good looking enough to cosplay our beloved octopussy Alita. But even Sechs (male or female) or Nova aren't often to be seen.

So my humble opinion is: Go for it! Make us proud And please take some pictures!
