Yes, that's why I deleted it. I hadn't realized it was referencing another chapter.

I really love this Chapter...everyone is fighting for another reson and with another mood, Zazie just want to straight-out kill that weirdo Rhakhan, Alita and Touji are just fighting to compare their skills...and Zekka seems to want to teach Sechs something and just plays with him, else i would say he just could have finished him allready.

Just wondering but... Wouldn't/shouldn't Alita get disqualified for breaking the ZOTT Rules as she's somewhat like a Robot connected to a remote conciouseness via Fatamorgana to support her Bodyfunctions and thus her Fighting Capabilities?

@MonolitH: Was there such a rule? (I don't remember anything like that). Plus, Tunguska kinda was the same remote controlled robot, so it should be within the rules (the Jovians really exhausted the rules to the maximum without violating them, so I think this design is still ok...)

Yes there was such a rule.
are allowed in the zott humans, cyborgs, autonomous robots but remote controlled robots are strictly forbidden. The announcer is even surprised that Elf and Zwölf were not disqualified when he discovers that their brains were actually in the two plushy things kimpy and kimpo.

As for tunguska it is autonomous for only the wormhole is remote controled, or so jupiter says.

First I wish to thanks all the people engaged in BAA and BAALO escanlations, I owe you a great deal since Alita is my favorite manga title. I've been lurking here for quite some time now. I'm from Brazil like Sergio but we are not acquaintances. My first contact with Battle Angel Alita was through Viz edition back in 1998 and I get hooked since them. I started reading the Last Order arch with Mangaproject scanlations long time ago and now I follow every chapter released here. But I'm not a scanlation leecher since I give all my support to Yukito Kishiro-san: I own all the the volumes released by Viz until now (except for the second edition released by them), all the Brazilian edition, the volume 13 from the Japanese edition of GLO and the gaiden special edition with Alita/Gally figure (it was a pain to get that). Besides of those, I can add to the count Aqua Knight (I hope Yukito get back to it when he finishes GLO) and Ashen Victor editions both by Viz also.

I decided to emerge from the lurker ocean because I think Yukito is fumbling* us in these last chapters of LO. Fight tournaments are characteristic of dragged mangas like Dragon Ball, Saint Seya, Yu Yu Hakusho and many others. When Alita fought alone against her enemies things were going faster and the story had more content. Now we have entire volumes full of fights in which the story don't works at all. The volume 13 is perhaps the best example. I am impatient to see Alita back to Mars to finally meet Erica and perhaps her master Gelda! This ZOTT is dragging too much! I hope Yukito doesn't disappoint us and end the manga in an unsatisfactory manner.

We have a problem here. Embromar is a portuguese idiotism - that is, a term that is not translatable, existing only in one language. It is the same case of saudade. I know some Americans and Chinese fluent in Portuguese who use saudade in their native languages, simply. As Samuel (an American linguist) says, English borrows many foreign words, and a noun identifying the feeling of loneliness that you have when missing someone is essential. If the language can borrow cachaça and piranha (the fish, I mean), it can surely borrow saudade.

Embromar is even more complex. In the sense you want to use it, it means that Kishiro has been wasting time to gain time while he is not sure of what to do exactly.

In a certain way, the neverending ZOTT is exactly that.

Thanks Sergio! I could not give a better explanation than yours. Perhaps jus the expression "dragging too much" gives the better approximation of I was trying to say.

No, in this context (e.g. you have no clue of a topic but are forced to talk for 10 minutes straight) "to swim" (in german) just means this: You state the obvious, repeat it with other words and just hope that the time goes by quickly.

"treading water" is used here with real water only, while metaphorically (e.g. financially) we use "stay afloat" (lit. "hold oneself above the water").

I want to thank all involved in this project. I've loved Alita since I first saw the anime back in high school. Being able to contiue the series without having to wait for the book translations is wonderful. So thanks for all the hard work.
