Hi guys,
I suggest to discuss this in a separate thread to make it clear!
Apparently, YK had a little chat with his new editor "friends" about the hiatus and everything (cf Yukito website). Don't really get what really happened but nothing good I imagine...

If James Cameroon's Battle Angel Alita project is still running i'm sure Kishiro will have to resume the manga and close it. Wrost case scenario, he will close it again in a rush like the original Pinocchio ending.

A guy posted on Ritual Scan Forge's forum a resume of Kishiro's blog (or something like that, I suppose), but too lazy to translate !

Kishiro had a meeting with the Shûeisha yesterday, but nothing new.
He asked if the the word Hakkyô (発狂)(GLO Tome1) and Psycho Yarô (GLO Tome2) will be changed too, because they changed them for the original series.
The Shûeisha answered there will be no changes, so the question remains why they changed them for Gunnm.
Kishiro sent a e-mail to the editor-in-chief of Ultra-Jump to have a explanation.
Kishiro concludes saying that he wants to finish the Zott tournament in Ultra Jump, but he's not keen on it, so maybe that will not happen.
Next meeting in two weeks, stay tuned.

If Kishiro is still in contact with Shueisha's people maybe could be a good signal (IMO of course)
Let's see what happen in two weeks...

I don't understand why people seem to think that Gunnm will discontinue. Now, I'm not expert on manga publications, but can't he simply jump ship to another publisher? I mean, it seems that Kishiro owns Gunnm and should be able to have it published somewhere else, especially if it has enough native fans. Garth Ennis did such a thing with his comic series, The Boys when his first publisher, Wildstorm, decided to drop the series, he was able to get it published by Dynamite comics in little time at all, even getting the original run reprinted under their imprint.
Certainly, there has to be precedent for something happening in the Japanese comics industry. If anyone knows, could they share that info? I know that most Japanese companies are owned by a few major corporations, but certainly there has to be someone else who can print Gunnm.

Ohayoo, mina-san!
If you aren't yet tired of this unexpected semifinal of the ZOTT: Yukito vs Shueisha, here is a better picture of this bothersome fight
http://www.sankakucomplex.com/2010/08/2 ... -run-amok/
I think the reason lies somewhere in the middle of both contenders... here I should explain myself, but I arrived from work a little while ago and I'm too tired to put my thoughts in English, sorry

It has been already translated by animenewsnetwork.com and you can find it in the "GLO100" thread.
Certainly GLO will be resumed wherever it is (in ultra jump or something else)

His last settlement offer with Shueisha was rejected, he's going to meet with his editor on monday to discuss things.

Apparently and correct me TargaryenX if I may have misunterprated, GLO will be resumed in Kodansha after discussion with the people there, they also discussed about the original series and no conflict about the taboo words appeared.

Yeah, he said that was his final offer to them. I don't know why he was meeting with his editor (maybe the editors at kodansha?) but he didn't say anything about kodansha in that blog entry.

I think he meant Kodansha obviously -
I'm very glad he will continue - I'm just not sure what I'll do with that animation I started... I want to complete it, and make it the most epic fanart he ever recieved, but since he will continue - the whole plot context of the animation doesn't work - especialy the first scene with gally...

Instead of an appeal, it could end as a celebration, simply. What you have already done, up to now, in my not-so-humble opinion, keeps valid. After all, we were - and we still are - exactly suffering the effects of the hiatus.

I would prefer it to continue in the Shueisha, less troublesome for being resumed, but oh well...
