We don?t know when it will be released. We got a new translator. Hope he works fast.

About the japaness releases of the books, the 9th volume will be released July 19 as announced on the author's website

Well, seeing that the v8 raws more or less has been cleaned/edited and been waiting for the translators since february... can't say we are in a rush to get the v9 ones done.

Not to be the @$$ of the discussion but when could it be estimated that the next chapter will be relesed translated? Checking every few days just leads to a buildup of dissapointment..

Volume 7 came out Jun 13th. They're not ahead at all.

Though, I imagine that Vol. 8 will come out before Viz releases it.

We are currently a bit stuck on the translation part.
So yes its taking alot of time.
Our translator is still busy with it, so untill then we cant do much unfortunatly.
However it looks like we can get busy real soon

I hope it doesn't get released the day before i have an exam at college (like last 2 times). I should be more mature and not risk failing subjects just for reading Last Order.

if you're really desperate for any translation, just abuse google (you'll just get a really crappy one, + no names ). Make a temp web site give it a unique name, dutifully copy all the text in jap uni-code onto it's page, and do a search for the name of the site, and enter using the translate link.... seen it done (honestly better off waiting for ripper's to do a good trans though, but hey if you're THAT desperate, there are desperate options ). *bleh* I'm happy with raws (will wait for ripper's trans), even if it does seem like some pages are missing, but most likely it's simply me not being able to read a useful caption though. (LO 2 is missing one however, the final scene with kaos vs. master pizmo is truncated, there's another page in the viz release.) btw, is phase 58 really only 18 pages long? that seems a little short....... although it does look like the tie up for vol 9......all the other phases are about 29 pages however.....

You know, it ain't all that hard to learn the basics of japanese. To be able to read manga, you need to learn to read the japanese writing languages (Hiragana, Katakana and Kanji) and learn some basic japanese words and phrases. Then get ahold of a japanese-english glossary and start reading. Whenever you get to a word you don't know, take a look in the glossary... If you're patient and give yourself time you'll learn some more words and get the hang of it in no time...

nah, I'd say 'bout 3 tops... that is of course if you really commit yourself to the task... If you are a real hardcore anime-lover you'll have come across most expressions already, just a matter of figuring out what they look like when written...

A bit hug all round in advance for the part release of vol 8, its just gonna cause me more pain when i have to wait for the chapters but i dont care,
