In a recent interview producer Jon Landau was asked -

"Before I ask about the sequels, can you give us a quick status update on Battle Angel and The Dive?"
Jon Landau replied: "They’re further-out projects - neither one has that shooting script yet and both are really worthy projects to make. Jim is also looking at Cleopatra."

so it seems that there is no script for a Battle Angel movie...

In an interview a while back James Cameron himself said they had a great script so I don't know if they tossed it or Landau doesn't have a clue what he's talking about. Also James Cameron gave up on the Cleopatra movie idea for some reason I don't know. Expect Battle Angel movie not before 2015 because of Avatar 2 releasing 2014 followed with Avatar 3 in 2015.
