^Ripper's Anime Page

If the site were ever to go down for whatever reason (copyright disputes, host being an ass, etc.), it may be a good idea to just have a simple page on a free host where ^Ripper could basically just say "The Site is Doing Fine" or "We're Having Some Hosting Troubles". A place where people would know to go just in case the site died or something, where they would know how things were going.

I could do that, but is it really necessary?

Domain / hosting is already separated, so downtime would be kept to a minimum.
I can redirect it to whatever i want within seconds.
The DNS refreshes every 5 minutes anyway

Also i don't use blog, facebook, twitter or any other "social" website.
And even if the .com would go down...there is always:

http://www.rippersanime.info

I'm sure no-one knew i had that domain

Still i can set up a status.rippersanime.com page, redirect it to a free hosting if needed.
But do people remember where to go when it goes down.
