^Ripper's Anime Page

I just noticed that I am now at the Deckman level. However some of the veterans here have other ranks like Kunster, Barjack soldier, and GIB. Is there a breakdown as to what the threshold is (looks like post count) to achieve these ranks?

I like the Deckman = noob level/idea very much, but i don't like the GIB and Tipharean levels. IMHO they should all be Künstler-levels/hierarchies like: Anfanger (Beginner) (German: Anfänger)
Tzereter (Enthusiast) (lol Tezzeret the Seeker (MTG reference))
Lerhling (Apprentice) (German: Lehrling)
Gezere (War Artisan)
Kreiger (Warrior) (German: Krieger)
Hoher Krieger (High Warrior)
Meister (Master)
Adept (Licensed Master)
Altermeist (Elder) (German: Altmeister)

Which level is Altia at the moment? Caerula attested her to be at Hoher Krieger level before she go her Jupiter-upgrades.
BTW I found an error in [Manga] Battle Angel Alita - Last Order (Volume 06) [Rippersanime.com] (58.897.377) p22 middle panel. Reads "Köher Krieger" should be "Höher Krieger" or in better (not funny sounding umlaut) German "Hoher Krieger", which would be the correct case.

The current sytem is idiotic - I kept saying it in the previous topic and I'm saying it again.

Tzykrow rated Alita at the Meister level because of her use of Einsatzrhythmen, then quickly took it back out of pride.

The Kunstler system works well for multiple levels because there are several ranks. However I'm in favor of mixing it up a little bit to include some references to the original manga, only because people are different levels in the story and won't run into the Kunstler rankings until they get into the midway point of Last Order. It's probably not possible or if so, a pain to include a parallel ranking system that people could choose to follow, say the Kunstler route or another route.

Not sure how much further up you can go beyond Meister.

The rankings you suggest have the same fault as the current ones - THEY ARE OF THE DIFFERENT CLASSES, uncomparable, heterogeneous. They break the subordination (I just don't know how to name it correctly ).

What's the relation between the motorball player and ladder? Why is geo catastrophe survivor higher than tuned? This list is completely random and illogical!

But the rankings vacendek has offered are HOMOGENEOUS, they are of the same class! That are the only logical rankings ever suggested!

There is no relation nor was there any specific hierarchy suggested, that was just stream of consciousness. And there is no relation at all between most of the suggestions or the current ranks, other than that they are found in the same BAA/LO universe.

And yes, I agree that for a multi-level hierarchy that the Kunstler ranks do work the best because there are no other comparable rankings. Still, for some reason I am in favor of mixing things up that have no relation to each other. If they are better or worse it is wholly up to each person.

I noticed that this board doesn't allow users to give themselves random titles like I've seen elsewhere, that is a different idea, but would work here too.

It would be nice to have a rank for the newcomers also, I mean people with 1 to 49 posts.

I think, I should suggest a good solid level numbers for vacendek's model, based on current users post statistics:

25 Anfanger (Beginner) (German: Anfänger)
50 Tzereter (Enthusiast) (lol Tezzeret the Seeker (MTG reference))
75 Lerhling (Apprentice) (German: Lehrling)
100 Gezere (War Artisan)
250 Kreiger (Warrior) (German: Krieger)

How about post count 1-25 we give out the simple alita universe names like dekman etc

Then when people go "pro" with more then 25 posts, the Kunstler ranks will apply.

I think, this will be too confusing. People with less than 10 posts aren't active anyway.

At 1-25 posts, jumping up in ranks every few posts would degrade the values of the ranks and doesn't seem worth the effort to implement.

Can custom titles be enabled? Crazyankan has the Crazy Editor! title for example. Or is that limited to mods and admins?

Not giving out ranks every time a person posts.
More like:
1 post (village idiot, or newbie, whatever)
2-10 - dekman
10-25 - super dekman
(replace with whatever we can come up with)

Nothing too fancy.
Just to give the low posters some kind of title.
Not everyone has a 1600+ post count...(glaring at our forum junky Sergio)

I wrote that mostly because I will need a lot more post for the next levels (I think about double the amount I got.)

The ranksystem appears to be inspired by the german titles in journeyman- and/or Freemasonry-guilds.
I have no clue what "Tzereter" stands for/means.
"Hoh-e" because "hoch" (comparative "höher", superlative "am höchsten") is used as an attribute and this rank is above, but no comparative to "Krieger". (Sorry, I would have made the changes myself, but the wiki-regmail takes its time.)

I visited Panzer+Kunst and there i found the "Nationmaster"-link (called so cause of nolivelinksrule)

Custom titles are limited for me, ^Ripper and translators.

vacendek, first you need the latest phpbb 3.x

Login your admin control panel
Go to "users and groups" on the top tab
On the left under "users" click "manage ranks"

Create a rank here for when a certain post count is reached or a standalone rank to be given to special people.
