p01
Phase 106: You Never Know
Text: The balance shifts, and the end of the ZOTT finals approaches. Who will be left standing!?

p02
Text: The damage from Zekka's delayed-effect punch finally appears!! Sechs is stopped just short of victory!!!

p03
Gerambo: It looks like the title "Overwhelming fist" wasn't just for show!!
Gerambo: So anywhere hit by an ignition blow turns to tektite and shatters...just how many ignition blows did Sechs take anyway!?

Zekka: Using my punch's energy to phase change your body, absorbing it and shooting it back at me...
Zekka: Honestly, I'm impressed by your creativity!!

Zekka: But even in a new Fizziroy body, it's impossible to completely negate my punches just by absorbing the energy!!
Zekka: Since you've been moving around so much, it did take a quite a while to for the wounds to harden, though!!

p04
Yani: Kid!!

p05
No Text

p06
Gerambo: Master Sechs self-destructs!!

Gerambo: He had Zekka backed into a corner, too!
Gerambo: It looks like the difference in experience was too great!!

Gerambo: Sechs' fans aren't liking this!

p07
Zekka: Shit...
Zekka: I had to try pretty hard for a little bastard like him...
Zekka: That was seriously uncool.

SFX: tap

Sechs: Hertza Haeon!!

p08
Zekka: Huh?
tiny text: That feels kinda nice...

Zekka: You're the little thing he had on his shoulder...

Sechs: Crap! It didn't work!

Sechs: This isn't over, motherfucker!!

Zekka: I don't play with dolls.

p09
Yani: Ah! The subunit is still functional!!

Zekka: Hey gramps, what the hell is this?

Yani: Mini-sechs has the same brain chip as the main body, and recieves sensory data in real-time through a mirroring link.
Yani: If one body gets in trouble, the other one acts as a backup!!

Zekka: Oh.

Zekka: Come back when you've fixed your body.
Zekka: I'll take you on any time!!

Text: Mirroring: Mirrored synchronization, where multiple exact copies of the same information exist.

p10
Gerambo: Hold on...
Gerambo: It looks like the Rakan vs. Zazie match is finished, folks!!

Gerambo: The villain Rakan, who fought his way through countless battlefields...
Gerambo: Has been defeated by the bullet of the Martian warrior Zazie!!

Gerambo: The Space Angels and the Space Karate allies have each lost one warrior, leaving the match even at 2v2!!
Gerambo: But there's no way Zazie can actually fight against Zekka once he recovers! The Space Angels might have a hard time with this one, folks!

p11
Gerambo: Now back to the stalemate between Alita and Toji!
Gerambo: Could this be a battle of wills between two master fighters!?

p12
Alita: I managed to regenerate my body with the wormhole reactor using energy from Jupiter...

Alita: But I would say that I'm only about 60% optimized right now.
Alita: I'm not sure how well I'll be able to move until I try.

Alita: Seriously though, what's with these wings!? They're in the way!
Alita: Why did I grow them in the first place?

Alita: But the worst thing is...

p13
Alita: I can't decide what I want my clothes to look like!!
tiny text: hmmmm...

Alita: With the Imaginos body, there were parts that I could change at will, and parts that my subconscious decided automatically.
Alita: When I revived before, I didn't think about it at all but my outfit still ended up looking pretty good.

Alita: By the way...
Alita: Why hasn't this guy moved at all?

Alita: No way...Could he be...
Alita: Asleep!?

p14
Gerambo: What was that!?

p15
Alita: He's...fast!

p16
No Text

p17
Hopper: Let's see a replay.
Hopper: He produces a shockwave with his forward hand...

Hopper: And riding on it, launches a flying kick!
Hopper: You could call it a vacuum kick!!

Hopper: Also, it might just be my imagination...
Hopper: But it seems like the way Toji moves is completely different now!

Toji: squ-
Toji: squeak

Zekka: They say you never know what people are capable of...
Zekka: But I can't believe he could progress so much in just a few minutes...What happened to him!?

p18
Alita: I can't read him!!
Alita: His speed is basically the same as before...but I'm still having a hard time reacting!

Alita: Don't you know it's rude to attack someone while she's deciding what to wear?
Alita: That makes me mad!!

p19
Alita: You're making me angry!!

Alita: Ok, that's it!!

text: inconsequential

p20-23
No Text

p24
Alita: He broke my Ausser Stösse!!

SFX: crack...

Gerambo: Toji pulls Alita into close combat and overpowers her!!

Hopper: Long-range attacks that make use of this large body and power are Toji's specialty, and they're effective against 90% of his opponents...

p25
Hopper: However, against larger opponents like Anomaly or exceptionally skilled fighters like Alita, they won't always work.
Hopper: The style that hyper-electronmagnetic karate descended from, goju karate, was said to excel at close-range combat...
Hopper: So you might say Toji is going back to basics!!

TN: Goju literally means "hard-soft"

Toji: From hard to soft...

Toji: From lies to truth...

Toji: In this endless change lies the essence of karate...

p26
Toji: Rinne Tensho!!
TN: Wheel of Rebirth

p27
No Text

p28
Gerambo: Alita's wings have been completely smashed!!

p29-30
No Text

p31
Alita: Javelin Kick!!

I am SO behind schedule, for the cleaning... :?

p03
Zekka: Since you've been moving around so much, it did take (a) quite a while (to) for the wounds to harden though!!

But I don't understand how a wound can "harden" :?.

edit: oh, wait... does "harden" refers to "turns to tektite", so it can shatter later ?

Yes, that's what I meant. The translation is pretty direct (the word they use means "congeal/coagulate"), but do you think I should try to make it more clear?

Sorry, but I'm going to have to discard your comma again Sergio. "Seriously though" is sort of an idiomatic phrase I guess...regardless there is no pause.

Changes edited into the OP. Does anyone have the correct spelling for "Weisserschauss"? Or did I miraculously guess it right from the katakana?

Well, now that I've understood, it's fine as it is. "(To get) brittle" is the word that comes to my mind, but it also changes the meaning. "(To) set" may also fit, but doesn't clear the confusion more than "harden". It's up to you, but I'm fine with the current translation.

I am aware that you are in an open war against commas, but I can live with that. :)
Meanwhile, my publishers say I was born annoying when it comes to grammar rules. Well, at least, they pay me to be exactly that. I mean, in the end someone has to love my annoyance.
The fact is: the real world does differ from formal language. I certainly can live with that.

I can't think of anything familiar to Weisserschauss. Is it the little katakana on page 24, "oisa-shiyuto-su"? It sounds as if it could be "Äußer Stoß". If so, according to the wiki, she used it back in vol. 04 against Gavit; it was called "Ausser Stösse" there (Stösse=plural).
A better german version would be "äußerer Stoß/Stöße" but I vote for coherence... It means "outer blow, kick, impact"/"blow from the outside". Mayyyybe it can also mean "a blow from the edge [of the opponent's body]", because she always gains momentum from spinning around one of the opponent's extremities.

Btw: The Turnstile Technique could also be the same or a close variety of this technique.

Thanks! I thought "au" in german sounded like "ow" in English, katakana is always confusing.

Don't mention it. "au" indeed sounds like "ow", but the ä makes it more like "eu", like in joy.
It is amazing how different they write foreign words with their characters...^^

Quality always trumps quantity/speed in my opinion.

No one else seems to be able to read Japanese, so my understand is that at the moment there is only 1 translator.

TargaryenX will post a translation for suggestions, which are then incorporated into the scanlation release.

The time is as you mentioned and as I understand it, to clean up the images and put the translation into the text bubbles. Why not do this just once and do a good job doing it, vs. doing it twice? (simple job first, then an excellent job again)

At least this is my understanding of the process.

If only it was really that easy.
When assigned to certain NATO teams I would be required to learn the base language of the team.
Which means that I now speak 5 languages poorly
One thing I learned about Japanese is that at a certain level the meaning of "Lost in translation" becomes apparent.
There can be 5 translators working on the same paragraph, and it is possible to get 5 different and correct translations. I plagued Sergio in one posting over "Her name is really GARY" not Gally. The answer to that argument was that the "Proper" rules of grammar were not being followed. But it is openly accepted, like American's use of the word AIN'T.
A final example. 車に犬がある In English is it simply - "There is a car." ???
No, that would be something like 車がある and adding に犬 implies/means that a living thing exist inside the car.
It could be that in this case,"Too many cooks spoil the Broth" !
Look at the detail they go into over the placement of a comma :geek:

Another subject than translation accuracy, I haven't seen it somewhere but does someone now when the next chapter will be out? Usually it's written at the end of the previous one, but can't see it. Around 25 is that it?
