Nope, the number of pages change monthly.
It's just that Kishiro can't draw 30+ pages every month anymore.

Next chapter should be about the same lenght or just a little longer.
Currently we're at 172 pages into volume 18.
Volume 17 was 186 + 6 bonus pages.

Not just that he's old (he's 46 this year) but the sheer amount of detail that he puts into the chapters and he only has 1 assistant (Tsutomu Kishiro). If it was a weekly or biweekly release who knows.

Really Good Action, imho.

I really like the ZOTT a lot. More and more all the time. But this action is so different and "low to the ground" in comparison, I feel like YK is really into drawing this environment. The art is more "on" to me, the blacks are bolder...I don't know.

I felt like the art vibe was a little on and off over the years of ZOTT. It was definitely On with the Venusians...a little off with some of the Zekka/Sechs action...maybe it is my taste, I just feel like the black/white balance is a little bit more bolder here or there. This chapter seems really together to me.

Maybe I like this more because the material beckons to "Angel of Death" which is so stand out to me.

It is so awesome, as it goes and goes, there is no hope of any movie or game or tv show from this material that I can imagine in the foreseeable future...it is slow though.
