^Ripper's Anime Page

Ok... The question is which anime or manga (or both) gave You best impression, like "thats the way anime should look like!" or somethin :p
I ask because sometimes i have no idea what to read/watch next,
and others opinions might be helpfull then :D

My favourites are: Anime - Elfen Lied - a little of comedy, ecchi, drama, horror, violence, romance, ... well there is almost everything in it. xD
As for manga... hmm.... Gunnm: Last Order i guess :p (for which i should thank Ripper coz if it wasnt for this site i wouldnt even know it exist xD)

Beside those i still like lots of other titles but those two are a little bit better (for my tastes atleast) :p

Well, my favourite anime are: Bleach, InitialD, Hanaukyo maid, Ah! My Goddess!, Grenadier, Saikano, Read or Die and Chrono Crusade, Hand maid May.
For manga: Full Metal Panic, Berserk and Bastard.
Both(anime/manga): Love Hina, Gunslinger girl, Chobitz, Midori no Hibi

For manga, Saikano , BAA and BAA:LO
And for anime :MKR, The first serie of OVAs of kenshin and (ovius ) Saikano

For manga, Hellsing is definitely my favorite by far. For anime, I'm a big fan of Ghost i nthe shell 9the series adnt he movies. Manga too).

Hellsing, that?s the best manga I have ever read.
Other mangas i really like Tenjho Tenge, GTO, berserk, Battle Angel Alita(quite obvious ), gantz, zetman, NGE and like tons of other mangas.

Favorite anime, I think it?s FLCL. So strange and so well done.

I did try it but.. i dont know..
for me characters are just... "unlikeable" :\

I heard Hana Kimi is great manga so i'm gonna try it next

My favourite anime are: Inu Yasha, Full Metal Panic, Love Hina,
For manga: School Rumble /yaay/ and Marmalade boy.

I think you don't know Ghost Stories. / The School's ghost stories, Gakkou no kaidan/ But in Hungary, we adore it

Mkay, my favs huh? I'm only naming the top ones here, however, I have a top 10 list where the top series constantly varies...but these are the defenite top ones in manga/anime.

For anime I would probably go with Neo Genesis Evangelion. Superb plot and story, amazingly good character development, a fitting style which realy puts the animation first. Nice psychological depth for those who seek for and can handle that, it was even aired twice in Japan so the psychologists could have a good chance to analyze it.

Manga is harder, where I choose between Battle Angel Alita, Blade of the Immortal and Berserk. My answer is still, without much doubt, Berserk.

Berserk is the absolute best manga I have ever read, thats counting the above ones and such titles as Akira, Hellsing and Blame!. Story and plot? I just want more. Philosophical depth? Yepp. Characters and character development? Superb. Timespan? Epic. Illustrations? DAMN. Add blood, guts and gore, philosophical depth and excellent crafted humor and there you go.

Berserk was also my fav. but i dont like whats hapening in latest chapters.
I guess authors ideas worn out and now all i see there is Guts cutting through larger and larger enemies....
This manga lost that "something" that made me wanting more of it :(

Realy? I like it just as much, can't wait to see what Griff will do next, who will bash the Kushans first (Guts or Griffy?) and ecspecialy what's going to be Cascas fate...larger and larger enemies? You kidding? The latest chatpers haven't hold much to any fighting, and if, the only guys fallen for Guts has been familiars...the latest guy Guts fought with any challange was Grunbeld, he didn't even finnish that. I mean, before that, we had the damn Ogre, which wasn't much of a challange, was it?

I stoped reading Berserk somewhere around "berserk armour thing" so i have no idea of what happened later. First was the story with this witch (sorry forgot her name) which made this manga look like some damn RPG, then lots of ridiculously large enemies came and we got hack&slash game instead... at this point i have quit :\
I'll probably return to it sometime... all anime/manga have their better and worse moments :p

[All points stated above are just from my point of view, i know lots of peoples who didnt notice any change and still like Berserk] :p

Mkay, Mirua did go into a frenzy around then introducing like 10 chars every new chapter...like 1 char/page. It's slowed down to a more normal level now though ^^

I just finished reading Ichigo 100% and i just must add it to my favourite manga titles. Since early volumes i was absolutly sure that i would hate main character in the end but... it was first time that the end of this type of story surprised me so much !!
If You like romance stories atleast a little then You must read this one! :D

ichigo 100%, evangelion, and card captor sakura. they really entertaining manga

Manga: Death Note, Berserk, Blame!, Sanctuary, Sky High, Kilico and BAA

Anime: Ghost in the Shell 1st and 2nd GIG, Neon Genesis Evangelion, Jigoku Shouju

That's the anime/mangas I have liked the most.
I recomend them to , well, most ppl who aren't just after romance and such.

Hmm... This is quite a hard question to answer... Ah well, here we go...

Since I can't narrow it down very much I guess I'll mention a few titles:

For Anime: Appleseed 2004, Ghost in the shell (Movies and SAC), Gunslinger Girl, Blood+, Full Metal Alchemist, Ergo Proxy, Full Metal Panic, Karin, Hellsing Ultimate, Rurouni Kenshin OVA:s (Reminiscence and Reflection), Seikai Series (Seikai no Monshou, Seikai no Senki I, II and III), Peace Maker Kurogane, Karas.

For Manga: Appleseed, Battle Angel Alita (and Last Order of course), Hellsing, Seikai Trilogy, Gunslinger Girl, Ghost in the Shell (and Man-Machine Interference), Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto, Shinsengumi Immon Peace Maker, Rurouni Kenshin, Peace Maker Kurogane.

Ooops... It ended up being quite a bunch of titles... Sorry about that...

Anyway, I hope you try reading and watching some of this. Enjoy yourself!

PS. The Hellsing manga is great, but it takes some time to really get into it. Although I have to say that Ghost in the shell is even harder...

my favorite manga is eden ,chobits ,love hina ,vido girl ai, battle angel alita (gunnm) and chirality its hentai but its great manga ;P

Manga = Blame!

If you like Gunnm and GITS, you should try "Blame!"

I do like stories with intelligent plots and information on different aspects of human culture.
I did like the unfinished "Eden", but once it is unfinished...
In Akira I liked the strentgh of the characters.
Anyway, Yukito Kishiro left both behind. His narrative is great, his characters have strong personalities and the story, in other hands, would be risky as it brings too much information.
It is a masterpiece.

I read Hove Hina but, honestly, it is completely stupid.

As to animes, I did not like Alita's version.
Akira is great.
Love Hina I haven't seen.

Don't care is that Manga or Anime
but i like if the Story about Friendship , Adventure , and Sport
So For Now I Like Bleach and Air Gear
