Hi,
i'll copy two posts from this thread:
http://www.rippersanime.com/Forum/viewt ... 6&start=50
They give good hints for that.
------------------------by crazyankan--------------------
Standard for our releases are 970*1400
Quality 72(but when you scan it. use 300 or more)
We use the Japanese standard. so we read the manga from right to left.
http://mangahelpers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5686 lots of links for scanning.
And you can do some "image straightening", so the picture don't tend. And cropping, so it's only one page at every jpeg file.
You can leave the cleaning for us
You can find our extra stories on "Downloads ---- Manga ---- Extra Story Volume 1,2,3" and some other stuff like Guncyclopedia and Bashaku Ando.
-------------------------by ^ripper----------------------
Well first of all thanks for scanning!
Don't rape your copy!
http://www.franky-house.com/forums/showthread.php?t=491
This gives some nice tutorials about scanning etc.
Like the one from "censored vagina"
Basically try ending up with a vertical resolution of 1400px cleaned.
if you need to resize, use bi-cubic when going from hi-res -> 1400px vertical with perspective 1:1 constraints active.
(Never upscale! As it means your scan resolution was too little)
But its all being covered in them tutorials
Save em in png 256-color grayscale or a hi-quality jpeg.
Any color pages in hi-quality jpeg.
If editing is going to take too much of your time, just send us hi-res/hi-quality png's or 100% quality jpegs.
And we'll do the editing for you

Saves time
zip/rar to mediafire/rapidshare/megaupload will do fine

I haven't made a screenshot, I thought that everyone has seen it before me.
It was really silly, it was a photoshop collage of some photos (not pictures) of UFO's, aliens, egyptian sphinx, and text in japanese. o_0

I got hito today

the manga is like new, very good condition. I hope I can scan everything soon (I don't own a scanner, so I have to go to a friend's house). Thanks for the advice Cailon. Unluckily, I can't edit anything since my notebook is super slow.
(pentiun III...
When will I stop buying shit and get a new notebook?)

Yes, we have. In fact, the New Year is one of the main holidays here - 2 weeks of drinking and resting for the whole country.
Happy NY for you too!

Thanks to Gallygun I noticed that there were updates at yukitopia.
Kishiro's list of favorite movies:
http://jajatom.moo.jp/E-top/y-room/movie/index.html
I've never heard of
The Dead Zone, have to check that out. Surprise about
Jacob's Ladder, since we talked about this one in the Artistic influence-thread.
Highlander and
Conan the Barbarian? Hm, I'm eager to read YK's statement on those two

(too tired now).
The Wages of Fear is old but a real classic, right.
Horror-wise, I liked his Introduction.
Return of the Living Dead is a gap in my Zombie-movie encyclopedia that I'll close soon. I also never heard of
Spontaneous Combustion... :/
Funny though how both themes (Trioxin 245 and Spontaneous Combustion) found their way into the manga

What a shame. I haven't watched any of them!
I haven't even heard about all these movies except Jacob's Ladder (because I've googled it a while ago) and Conan (because Arnold is there - everyone knows about this movie).

The Dead Zone: Stephen King + Christopher Walken = Epic Win, I never heard of this movie I have to watch it right now. I don't know about the others except for Conan too, everybody loves "teh" Schwarzenegger.
Cailon wrote:Funny though how both themes (Trioxin 245 and Spontaneous Combustion) found their way into the manga

I remember about the spontaneous combustion in LO, but where's the Trioxin 245 reference?

@Abbadon: When Zazie turns Vaina Barjetsu into a Berserker (vol. 11), Gerambo cries that the Berserker is one of the five most demonic things human kind ever invented: Berserker cells, Trioxin 254, Atomic Bomb, PIPT and something else I forgot.
Return of the Living Dead was quite an interesting (yet funny in a black sense) viewpoint on zombies. It had less social criticism and focused more on the horror of actually being a zombie, the feeling of your own body, rotting. Also quite unique: the undead zombies didn't just "die" if you destroyed their head or brain, each body part continues to move on his own.
I also rewatched Conan the Barbarian which was still kind of oh well, meh. Although I admit that it was very manly, very adventurous and had a nice "barbaric" feeling.
Like Zekka. You go semewhere, you destroy something. You find a cow you'll kill the cow. And so forth.^^

Now it makes sense - Trioxin 254 is a drug YK uses to come up with new insane characters (and karate people especially).
Yes, heavy stuff indeed.

I was about to make the same comment about the demonic creations, correct me but I remember something about a zombie virus or a toxin used in a Geroge Romero movie, maybe earth was wipe out with nukes because a zombie apocalipse, zombie cyborgs in berserker bodies...Jesus Christ!!!
Just saying.
