Sigh! Shonen Jump action against manga scans is showing its efeccts early than I expected =(
Hobby Link Japan
http://www.hlj.com is a reliable and somewhat cheap source if someone is willing to make an Ultra Jump signature, they deliver worldwide. I can't do that right now because I'm flat broke... I've purchased too many PVC figures =(

I believe you meant
subscription. Anyway, I was unable to find Ultra Jump in that page.

That's right sensei,
subscription is the proper term, thanks.
Now back to the subject. Even if a book isn't listed there they can find it for you if you ask tem, I know because I did it before. There is also the Amazon.JP, they sell books worldwide too.

By the way, Sergio. You live in São Paulo, isn't it? So you can go to the Fonomag bookstore located in Liberdade
http://www.fonomag.com.br and get an Ultra Jump subscription with them, they carry this kind of service too.

You are mistaken. I am
Fonomag's client already. Actually, all the covers and extra pages included in
Ripper's Anime releases come from the volumes of Last Order I buy there. Situation is: they DO NOT distribute Ultra Jump, although they accept to import it on demand. In case anyone is interested, the time between publication and arrival is… 90 days.

I know that already. The first delivery may take up to three months to arrive, but the following issues arrives in a monthly basis, they told me that once.

Their answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing.
I'm really sorry, but at this time we don't offer subscriptions. It is something we hope to do in the future.
Thanks for shopping with HobbyLink Japan!

Well, still there is Amazon JP
http://www.amazon.co.jp/s/ref=nb_sb_nos ... mp&x=0&y=0
Many issues of Ultra Jump are available there and I'm pretty sure that they ship books internationally.

In the board index page, there is the forum
Battle Angel Alita (volume 13). It is identified as
private. Obviously, the volume number is always changing.

I don't get it neither. Maybe it's only for people who joined this thread on time?

Now it's obvious.
I have only "Battle Angel Alita - Last Order" in the "Manga translation" section, the link is hidden for me and I get "You're not authorized to view this forum" if I type this link into the browser:
http://www.rippersanime.com/Forum/viewforum.php?f=4.

No, it's the access rights set by admin/moderator - only whitelisted residents are allowed the see that.

Nothing special in the private section.
Only some old threads that was dedicated to the translation scripts for volume 8 and up to we started to release the scripts at the forum.

Then, is it possible to grant access to this private section, in order to discuss about things that would be inappropriate to speak openly ?

I will open up this private section(it has been "dead" for years) for the "regulars" and the peoples that usually helps out with the scanlation.

What qualifies one as a "regular", may I ask? =)
I don't help with the scanlations, but I love this forum and the advanced look into Gunnm Last Order (which I wouldn't see for another year and a half otherwise). How can I get access?
Thanks!

Thank you for all the stuff you made.
Many french people are following it for years.

Actually, many more people are following this forum for long time now.
If I take my example, I've waited almost 3 years before being registered. I can imagine that a lot of people following this forum for a long time are not registered.
In this way, a private forum only for registered people helping in the scanlation process would be a little bit unfair and for a really small amount of person. We can say, I think, only for not more than 10. Really private!!!
I think you will see the amount of registration growing exponentially for several days from now!
But I imagine that crazyankan will not dedicate the "new" private forum (if he'll make it) as the same way as the previous one. I hope so actually

Friends, some vindications are senseless. Obviously, if something is private, it is not public.
The private forum is, obviously, limited to the publishing staff, as far as I understand it.
Besides, TargaryenX , obviously, required it for safety issues.
