Right, but a series being on hiatus of undetermined length hurts the same way regardless of reason.

I've always been a huge bookworm raised in a family of bookworms, so there's no losing interest for me; I read a ton of everything, be it novels, manga, webcomics, Western comics, fanfics, etc - well, whenever I have a bit of spare time, haha. There's always something interesting to be found! But I totally understand the nostalgia/sunk cost fallacy kind of reading - I mean, I still read One Piece, for example.

Well if you guys are bored, there is always the gunnm PSX game that needs beta testing and texts reviewed for errors

It does have the storyline about her going to mars. the point that the latest manga hasn't reached yet.

I was thinkig about you guys starting a new translation of some other series while lazy bum Yukito doesn't get his ass back to work.

Well i don't mind editing something.
But there has to be a dedicated translator for it.

The one working on Gunnm isn't willing to take on another series while Gunnm doesn't resume?

Well Gunnm is back on 5/11 and the next chapter will be release on 5/25. Looks like our waiting time is over. That is faster than waiting for half life episode 3 which that one people should give up. Seems like we are going to start at another arc that relates with this one. Also the art style looks nicer but a long break should justify that.

Guess kishiro can still release volume 8 this year,

Good news, I guess. Finally a release date and two (actually one) chapters in the same month on top of that! Albeit after such a long hiatus, he should release an entire volume at once

I am surprised you awaken from your slumber, I thought you just want me to be your messenger boy if the series get good or you were still in cryogenic sleep. Still dumb coincidence your latest comment was the same time gunnm resume a strange worldline phenomenon. Jokes aside it is always good to hear from you again, this site wouldn't be as fun without your comments.

I am still big into comedy with slice of life. My favorite so far is Nichijou, or Arakawa under the bridge(an amazing Japanese voice cast made it very enjoyable) and others for sure but I would stop there.

My Japanese is nowhere fluid enough for me to be a full-on translator, but if you ever need someone to beta read/correct/prettify the already translated bits, I could help.

My body is still in cryosleep, the one typing now is actually a computer that I've programmed to, once in a while, check if the world has changed for better and wake me up if the right circumstances are meet.

By the way i've been quite busy and often without connection in the past few days, but i have all intentions to use that novels forum

i use this site and read the table of content and it says gunnm kasei senki in kanji so it is the real deal, I admit I paid 420 yens just to get the magazine, just to read the raws and it looks very interesting

The link was red flagged by my anti-virus, but I've accessed it anyway. I hope there isn't ramsomware... The extents this fucking manga makes me go!

So many kunstlers... this made me remember a certain clones trilogy... you know, one jedi is good, four is still ok, I guess... but when there are bunches of them, the art decays dramatically and very lame ones start to appear... Don't expect "Frau X" level of expertise from this lot.
