This one doesn't fit in the context. It sounds weird.Burning Angel wrote:Page 14

If you want to keep his "country" dialect, you should keep "Oye".Burning Angel wrote:Page 17
F: Oye! Stop bullying him! // Hey! Stop bullying him!
Actually, I found "pitiful" more adequate.Burning Angel wrote:Page 6
F: Isn't she pitiful? // Isnt' she tragic?
It doesn't help to understand very well, but how about something like "Number 6" ?Guren wrote:- Too long you say? The japanese text instead is too brief, "6 no ji"
-> "six character".

How about...This one doesn't fit in the context. It sounds weird.

In the meantime, I managed to do an emergency treatment. // I managed to do an emergency treatment for the moment.
Okay...Actually, I found "pitiful" more adequate.
Fair enough... just call her "Number 6" or "Android 6" or "Gynoid 6"... But that should be after the first or second time she is mentioned in the chapter (first, they should call her the "android with the number 6", just to be clear)...It doesn't help to understand very well, but how about something like "Number 6" ?
Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
Partially updatd.
- "Number 6" then?
- "In the meantime"
-> For the time being?

Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
I vote for "Number 6 gynoid" the first time in the text, and then "Number 6"...

Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
Are you referring to page 5... I would prefer that page to not change...I vote for "Number 6 gynoid" the first time in the text, and then "Number 6"...
Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
Ok, I changed only on p14 with "Number 6".

Maybe, but those gynoids ARE really numbered.Burning Angel wrote: That was a good series... The Prisoner...
Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
My bad, it's spelled oi. See here for some uses.Burning Angel wrote:"Oye" doesn't even sound English.
Treatment. I would have sweared treatment is uncountable, alas it's both a countable AND an uncountable. On the other hand, in each of their examples, they remove the preceding article "a/an". So, I'd suggest "to do emergency treatment" or "to do some...". But in any case it's not a big deal, so do as you like.to do an emergency treatment

Is this project abandoned?
Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
So, can we know the status ?
Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
As far as i see the picture, the Typesetter is gone. So as long as we dont have a volunteer i would say its on Hiatus...kuroro86 wrote:So, can we know the status ?

unitl we don't hear from Lemonlol we can't say . But it would be a shame so close to finish
Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
May I ask how this typesetting is done? I have quite a lot of free time, so if it doesn't require any peculiar skill but only time I might be able to help. I will probably need some time to do releases of equivalent quality as I have never done this before.
As far as I see it, the job here is to remove the japanese text then replace it with the english one. First of all, Am I right?
Then, what software should I use? Would Gimp be ok?
If you can provide me some basic instructions I'll gladly do it.
EDIT: I hope don't offend anyone with that post, I don't mean it is an easy task, I just suppose that with enough time on someone's hands it might be possible. I am a total noob concerning this but I have the time to experiment and learn.
And to be honest I don't read translations usually until they are put into the scans
I do have in interest in this ^^

Re: GLO 114 Translation Script
Away for awhile and then this happens.
I've send Lemonlol a msg about this.
Anyway i hope Lemonlol will continue editing as his releases are by far better then what i could produce.
But if he won't then i'll start editing again.
It won't be as pretty tho :/
Also for the translation, yes we want a certain standard, but not to the point grammanazi's are fighting.
Keep it readable and understandable even if its not 100% free of errors.
I'm sure i've made at least 10 errors in this posting alone, and yet people (should) understand what i'm saying.
There is always the volume release...
I hope this will work out and we can enjoy the series.
@MagicHp thanks for the offer, but i'll step in if need arrises
