Speaking of sex and fanservice, why haven't we gotten a single naked boob in Last Order?

The original had a bunch of 'em!

A shower scene with Shumira, Eelai coming out of the reformation bath, and Alita having the human body at the end. Did I miss anything? I guess since the cyborg bodies seen so far don't have nipples that they are not getting counted?

This does bring up the point that while Alita was semi or wholly naked in BAA (e.g. getting the Berserker Body, being operated on by Kaos), she has had much more clothing optional appearances in LO.

No one has mentioned this yet, but I wonder about that scene with Martin in the jacuzzi and Elf and Zwolf if anything might have happened, Martin has his eye on them while talking to Zazie about Giraud. And Elf and Zwolf come across as being much more party oriented.

It just seems to me that this is more evidence that someone pressured Kishiro into making Last Order a shonen manga. The original was just much darker overall too.

Not sure why you're under the impression that BAA/LO are shonen manga if they are published in seinen anthologies.

The incidental nudity is that, incidental. It's certainly not one of the drawing points for me.

Last Order is like a weird hybrid between Shonen and Seinen.

It seems that ever since vol.3 or 4 he's gone out of his way to appeal to the kiddie set for some reason. And he does seem to be consciously avoiding the darker stuff from the original series.

Ido in a box?
the tragic death of Alita's "first" love?
Nova's labs filled with suffering semi-human creations?
Buick's history as a rapist/murderer?
Zapan's story with his wife, carrying around her head?

We never see anything like this in Last Order (past vol 3 at least). Nudity is just another example of something more "adult" that he is avoiding now.
