I'm not doing so much thing about all this but I must say that if I would be the typesetter guy, I would have seriously said something like this much before!
Seriously, to be honest, who actually care this much, except the "grammarnazies"! (I'm quoting) about such a perfect translation?
Not me to be honest, I like accuracy but when it comes to translation, no one can ever speak about accuracy.

We should totally think about a deadline in the translation process from when there will be no more changes for the typesetter. No kidding.

I apologize if you consider me a "grammar nazi", especially to you, Lemonlol. If you consider that I'm a pain in the ass, just tell me, and I'll take it easy. That all that needs to be done.

Nothing wrong with a "Grammar Nazi" as they know the language better.
The main problem is "overtranslating" where it gets to a point it becomes silly.
Translator makes script -> the QC'ers go to work.
1) Original sentence (probably a bit wonky, misses comma's etc)
2) Revised by QC 1
3) QC'er 2 makes another slight revision.
4) QC'er 3 completely flips the sentence so it reads better.
5) QC'ers 1+2+3 debate/fight for the ultimate sentence.
7) ...
2 months passes, typesetter get trauma from the ...th revision and is sent to mental ward.
9) Original translator looks at the script barely recognizable, WTF's and leaves.

Little fiction, little truth.

No translation is 100% perfect, nor should it ever be.
Just make it GREAT!

lemomlol is greatly talented, but his explanations make no sense at all.
Once the work here is completely voluntary, he has the right to leave at any moment, certainly, but even if Burning Angel's corrections irritated him (why?), he could have ignored them, simply. Anyway, it is a question of free will.

My FreeWill™ dictates me that such arguments would be tedious, pointless and of no consequence to the final outcome.

It was not meant as an explanation, but just as a reminder. My previous posts were quite old and could easily be forgotten, while it was indeed relevant to my decision. Thinking of only Burning Angel's post as a trigger to my decision could be considered a little too small minded. Instead, I propose Ripper's post as an alternate explanation. It is much more constructive than what I feel I could be.

Corrections to a script are, by essence, part of a scanlating process. So, in order to scanlate (ie. typeset), you can't ignore corrections. You can't build a car and ignore the engine because it's such a hassle to make, right ?

And Ripper is always making an volume release. So it's not the end of the world if the script has a mistake in it.

Guren suggested to me that we should have a time limit for suggestions. After that, no more corrections of the script.

Why didn't we think of that before. It will make things easier on the typesetter going forward. Say 1 week cutoff?

First of all:

Secondly:
I think a deadline would work wonders and keep the friction at a minimum, it wouldnt be free of it but it wouldnt catch the typesetter off-guard in the middle of having done xx pages allready just to correct them AGAIN.
