Jajaja... I am so glad you answered, troll. I am going to have fun, today. It's been a while since I've had a discussion about contemperary history o geo-politics. And thank you, Sergio Nova. I see we both agree that the US is just a hypocritical and stupid superpower, but probably the least malevolent one, too.
No, the US are really the worst, and I'll explain why. They emerged of WWII as one of the winners, but they hadn't to fight inside their country like England, USSR or France, so they actually never felt the tragedy of war, they never felt the real horrible face of war: cities destroyed, dead people everywere, hunger, sickness and the despair of the victms. So they are extremely arrogant.
WWII was just another example of the decadance of Europe. ¿So you are critizing the US for one of the few things that they did right? So are you implying that the US shouldn't have participated in WWII (by the way, thanks to the Imperial Japanese Navy)?
Thanks to their wealth and military power, they interfere on internal affairs of almost every country in the world, they don't hesitate to bring the war to any country and they protect the worst dictatorships if this may be profitable to them.
Yeah, like every global power. As I mentioned earlier, these world powers used dictators and terrorists as chess pieces. And it's arguable that the US backed dictatorships were worse than the Communist backed dictatorships (for example, Pol Pot, Kim Il-sung, Nicolae Ceauşescu, or Mengistu Haile Mariam). Hell even, Stalin or Mao killed dozens of millions of people.
Don't talk about Pearl Harbor, or Vietnam, those weren't inside the continental territory of the US and these are nothing compared to the millions who died in USSR, Germany and Japan. Don't talk about their civil war, it was far in the past for them to remember and can't be compared to the destruction of the modern warfare. Also don't talk about hypothetical things like A or B country would do the same if it had the power. It's the US that effectively has this power, the power to seed misery all over the world. After the WWII the US were involved with every major conflict in the world, so think about this.
Well, when Europe was the great colonial power, they seeded misery all over the world. And during the Cold War, the Soviet Union did have a military power that rivaled the US. And they also seeded misery all over the world. And the USSR was also involved in just about every conflict in the world. Again, you are becoming redundant. This was in the context of the Cold War and the Decolonization Movements of the Post-WWII era, where every major power tried to influence (through military or economic pressure) developing nations.
And yet I prefer a world with the US as the great superpower, instead of the Soviet Union or China. At least, since the Cold War, the US has pushed for a more democratic and liberal world (arguably). It would have been interesting (and horrible) to see what would have happened to the world if the Soviets or the Chinese would have won the Cold War.
