I am probably going to be snowboarding for the first time under the weekend. So I want to get it out on Thursday morning.

Considering the cleaned raw was ready Thursday evening, Crazyankan isn't available for typesetting. I suppose the chapter will be released Sunday night or Monday.

In fact, the snow in the city is nothing to see:
It's cool, clean, and white only the first day it's fallen down. Then it becomes dirty and black, after several days it's also covered with dog crap completely.

The only place it remains clean and nice is the countryside.

Each geographical location has disadvantages:

I'm living in a city between a shallow gulf and a lake - the temperature is mild here. We don't have extreme colds (minus 25 degrees Celsius max) and don't have extreme heats (plus 30 degrees max, excluding the previous anomalous summer, when we've had about 40).

But it's price is that the sky is constantly overcast, not only - the sky without clouds, just a solid wet-concrete color. Basically, it's hard to tell the sky apart from the ground during winter - they just blend together on the horizon.

We have averagely 60 sunny days per year, most of which are in summer. You just don't know what it is to live your whole life seeing sun only once in a week, if you're lucky.

Historically the city has been built atop of an artificially dried swamp, so you can imagine the climate.

And winter... damn, I hate it.

So, I kinda envy you - you are living taking sunny weather for granted.

Glad to hear you got back in one piece.

If you do go again, I highly recommend staying somewhere that has access to a hot tub - this will relax all your muscles and if it's outside in the snow, that's an even more surreal experience.

The sight from my window speaks for itself. Photos were taken in January, about at 3 o'clock in the afternoon. No color correction done, and the colors are shown precisely - I was testing a new Canon EOS-1000D, which I've prepared as a birthday present for my sister.

Obviously I know that the winter in the high latitudes of northern hemisphere is quite extreme, and the last ones seemed really bad not only in Russia, but in Europe and US too. What I really would like to see is the winter in the countryside, like you said, with white snow, a clear sky and a nice landscape.

My entire life was a continuous summer. Who among you guys would consider 9ºC, a few days in a year and in daybreak only, a true winter? This here in Brasilia. In Rio de Janeiro, where I was born and spent most of my life, we have a rainy season full of storms and periods of contionuous rain that could last a whole week, that is very annoying. Actually I hate extremes. In the summer in Rio, the average temperature is around 40ºC, only occasional storms breaks that. I hate Rio's summer season, it's too hot for my taste! We didn't spend all the time going to the beach, this is stereotypical. The most enjoyable weather is between June and September, with less rain, clear skies and average temperature around 25ºC~27ºC. In São Paulo, where Sergio lives, the average temperatures are lower. Here in Brasilia the temperatures are lower then Rio too, not as much as in São Paulo though. But here we have a dry season which starts around April and could last until September (or even November in the worst ones), so we could have periods of 120 days with no rain at all! And all the clear sky you could desire Mooov. That wouldn't be so bad if the humidity didn't drops below 20% for long periods, in these days we really suffer

Today, outside my window, I have a broken and rainy sky, with periods of weak rain and the temperature is around 26ºC. We still are in the rainy season, just before the dry season starts.

That said, even the Russian winter has its positive side. Everything depends on your point of view when you mention.
