Sorry to have let you down for so long I was really busy with my work all this time
Here is the translation of the beginning of the translation of page 8 right where I left off.
The tankman
he simply looks like a tank to which one would have stuck a tiny pair of arms and legs. He can belch fire as well as liquid nitrogen.. to paralyse its opponent as its blows with its arms and legs don't have that much impact. In fact he isn't that formidable an enemy.However, whenever it comes along enemies of the same strength he can become dangerous. If it is not rapidly disposed of the player can be affected by its explosion. and receive important damage.
The evil male nurse
This male nurse uses a big syringe as a weapon. He doesn't have light attacks but if he manages to hit/sting the player with his syringe, the latter sees his lifebar decreases/drops by half.
Furthermore, the evil male nurse also uses his syringe as a shield to protect himself from his opponent's attacks.
The crazy doctor
He wears a white coat/overall? stained with blood and holds a saw to cut skulls open /for cranial surgery? .
Armed with it, he rushes at his patients shouting/yelling /screaming: lobotomy!!!!
The big nurse
This nurse has undergone a lobotomy performed by the aforesaid crazy doctor. who has been manipulating her as he pleased /according to his wishes to do his bidding eversince. Her attacks are relatively light. But she has an paralysing electric syringe. that the player should be wary of. He's equally very resilient /tough.
She moves around the medical profession which comprises The evil male nurse, the cray doctor and the black surgeon.
The coward junkie
He's very thin and uses a kitchen knife as a weapon, he lets out piercing shrieks whenever he's threatened, but as soon as the player turns his back to him he takes advantage of it to attack him/stab him.
The hoodlum /punk junkie
A punk whose appearance is close to that of the coward junkie and appears both day and night in the crowded areas as well as the deserted streets equally. Armed with a knife he rushes at the passers by screaming very loud.
Once he has struck, he escapes he escapes straight away still screaming. If the player manages to dodge his attack and hits him once he's on the floor . He ends up running away without further ado.
Cyberman
A punk looking hooligan (probably with a mohawk), he has numerous interchangeable weapons which are very useful in combat: like a drill hand. He's one of the most widespread criminals in the scrapyard/ kuzutetsu.
The guy with the chainsaw
A masked murderer carrying/displaying a huge chainsaw he's of course a fan of the movie texas chainsaw massacre. The dreadful noise from the engine of his chainsaw clearly announces/foreshadows his arrival, as discretion is far from being his major asset. He's always waiting for a fight to relish in the display of the destructive power/lying in wait .....
The alcoholic man
A rather elderly poor man, without a home, who wrongly/unjustly got a bounty on his head eversince he has unwittingly killed a man. He goes to and fro begging the passers by to forgive him or proclaiming his innocence. This character doesn't attack. If the player kills him he gets a reward for his head, but his emotional level decreases. He's quite friendly and always always holds his hand /beacons to say hi. If the player lets him go, another mercyless bountyhunter will end up killing him.
The priest of destruction
A man of the Church who has gone insane, He wears a hat fitted with serated blades which he throws at his opponent like a freesbee and has a cross for close combat. His back bears two ideograms meaning "the Beast".
The three headed man
A cyborg with tree heads on a single body. The latter are fixed on a swivelling/revolving turret at the basis of the neck. And only one of them controls the body at a time, Each head having its own life bar and combat level.
If this cyborg associates the heads of cyberman, the coward junkie and of the crazy doctor he's quite easy to beat. But if he associates those of the the boxer, the karateka and the bodyguard he becomes a great deal tougher. However the reward for his death equates to those of all three people.
I'll be continuing to translate during summer time I hope I'll be able to do the bulk of the work on vol 2.

NP, I appreciated the work that whoever owned the volumes took to hand copy and scan them in. I was thinking about getting these volumes myself to have some version of the art book/tech notes that I could have a crack at understanding, so this was still extremely helpful.

A cyborg criminal. Thanks to the sucking power of his tentacles, he can catch his opponents, hit them against the ground, and immobilize them to deal his blows. His movements are very quick which makes him very efficient in combat. When objects are thrown at him/objects are thrown at him, he forfeits combat to try and suck them in.
The snake man
A cyborg whose lower body is that of a snake, (you could also say snake woman). He mainly nests in dark places and coils his/her snake tail around beams or colons.

It is while hanging thus that he preys on his victims/ that he swoops down on his preys.When he finds himself on the ground he uses his tail as a whip. He can also swim like water snakes do. Quite a powerful enemy, The snakeman is among the strongest enemies

After lurking on this board for some time, I've grown very grateful to this community as a source of scans, translations and insightful interpretations thereof. I broke down and scanned the Gunnm Works pages from my copies of the Complete Edition, binding be damned. The days that I was such an otaku that I wouldn't damage the book are behind me, anyway. I don't have volume five, however, so this just covers the first three (of four) GW installments. Pages were scanned at 600 dpi due some very small diagrams in the original, and then rescaled to 1600 pixels high for compression and upload. I made 3000 pixel high zips, as well, but my upload speeds are so bad that I'll put them up only if there is a demand for higher-res copies.

Unfortunately, I haven't got much time to clean these raws. Hell, I even thought page "1-01" had a plain black background... Now this is much more complicated to clean. But still, I guess your raws will be used for the release... one day...

If it is not rapidly disposed of the player can be affected by its explosion and receive important damage.
What about that? If the player doesn't get rid of it rapidly he may be affectected by its explosion and receive high damage. lose la lot of energy.
He is quite friendly and always holds his hand /beacons to say hi.
He always waves at you to say hi/beckons (and not beacons sorry) to say hi in a friendly way.
I hope it's more understandable the way it is now. I hope I can make more soon.

Last I know about this, I was supposed to typeset the whole thing. But as of now, there's just no way that I've got the will to do it

I wish you, Sergio Nova, knew how to typeset, in order to do it : You have the dedication, you care about details, you've got a good deal of patience, and you've got a pretty good understanding and knowledge of the overal Gunnm serie (GLO included). But alas, you're new to typesetting and no one can make you do something against your will !
So, either you're not in a hurry to see the project finished, or Kishiro makes a pause long enough for me to get bored and work on it, or... we find someone else to do it ?

The crazy machine (the machine gone wild?)
It is a kind of machine without a ?streamline careening? whose cogs are fully apparent. As it is not a cyborg, there is no reward when you dispose of it. However, you can get its heart of steel. Originally weak, it will only rush at the player, nevertheless depending on the level it can attack using a a multitude of/several articulated arms or electrical discharges, making it a tougher opponent.
The hermit crab man
A cyborg who hides in an armour carcass to protect himself. Most of the time he will remain hidden in his shell to attack, as well as use it to run over his opponent. With her starting power, Alita will only manage to destroy the aforesaid shell at the price of a disputed fight. The karateka
A karate expert cyborg. He uses every technique from this martial art, be it punching or kicking. His arms and legs can be changed to get more power.
The bodyguard
A cyborg in black wearing sunglasses. He is not himself a criminal/ not a criminal himself, but he is on their side all the same, as he protects some of them. He is an expert in military combat, and sometimes fights with a knife. His guard is faultless, therefore making him one of the most powerful opponents in the "combat experts" category/among the combat experts.
The killer motorballer
After committing a crime, this motorballer was cast out from motorball(the motorball league). His counter attacks along with is static(?)kicks are of of a very high level. His fighting style is very close to pro wrestling. His ultimate technique the "motor supplex", which originates from the supplex that can be found in wrestling, is even more violent.
