I thought toji would be the last man standing, but that last action seems to have thrown off my calculations, Toji as the unexpected victor and therefore the protector of earth and Alita once more as the magnificent loser exactly in the same position as she was in after the fight with Jashugan.

Looks like it's coming down to Zekka vs. Alita. Remember when she grabbed the Damascus Blade with her teeth to kill AR-2? Now with a Damascus Blade feather! And the Space Angels' advantage with Rakan out appears to be short-lived with Sechs out!

I was always figuring it would end up as Alita vs Zekka, but all of the warriors made a brilliant show of it beyond expectations.

Am I the only one glad to see that he's abandoned the gigantic hands/boots style and is drawing Alita with reasonable proportions again? Really, really glad to see those enormous clod-hoppers gone.
Now I wonder how Alita will be powered down for her trip to Mars, because I cannot fathom how an Imaginos Tzycrow or Erica could pose a serious threat to this incarnation of Alita.

A cat with wings looks weird... glad those came off. Now, Zekka only has to cut off the tail and everything is fine again
Anyway, where did Toji take this resolve and power from? You could say with a better body he could've gotten Alita into quite some trouble. Even after she supposedly got stronger yet again. But now, a direct hit to the head, will this be the end for Toji's life, too? They promised to finish it this time (didn't they?) but I still feelkinda sorry. I always imagined Toji as a little child that is still very naive and that could've learned many things. But I guess a good death is better than a boring, downgraded side character...

The power display on page 11 is interesting. It shows that Zazie is nearly out of juice, while Alita's bar is about 9/10 full. Zekka's bar is hard to guess, it can be down one third at max, and says "Awaiting Recovery"(?). Toji's bar has mixed up black and white though... an what could "Rea---" stand for? Something like Reactor, Reaction...

With Tunpo's spirit now in Toji this may be giving him additional abilities (like blocking Zekka's punch in the quarterfinals) that he previously couldn't do.

Wow, this was progressive death metal! Greatest chapter in ages. Sechs is out of the picture and Toji went SuperToji!

I kinda expected him to turn into the polar opposite of his usual passive self. I feared Alita's new form would be totally indestructable and finish him in a few nanoseconds, but she really had to fight for her life to beat him here (or has she?). And she also lost them wings... I guess the volume will be called "Amputated Angel" then.

So it really comes to a conclusion. Poor Sechs, her defeat is yet again connected to some embaresment. Though yet again she only stops when you destroy her. Was her original brainchip now in the doll body or where there copies of it in bot. Since we saw Sechs previously acting without the doll attached anymore. Well maybe they made some special changes for the finals. Also after having been wrapped up in duct tape for some time, the remote doll seems to be a suprisingly good state, especialy after some of the stuff it went through. Oh man, Toji went full ZEN here, but as many others i fear Gally is about to kill him. This is something i really can't understand. How come she is still willing to kill him, despite knowing he is one of the good people left in the solar system? Well it's not decided yet. I really hope he survives and goes to Earth to teach karate there, the scrapyard could really need some more cyborg martial arts experts with a honor code like his.

I don't believe we HAVE seen Sechs operating without the doll body connected, it's usually hiding in Sechs' shoulder-wear.
Like Elf and Zwolf, I'd have to believe that Sechs brainchip is and always has been in the doll body.

-Vol. 5, p. 11 - Sechs connects the mini body to his first Fizziroy Body
-Vol. 6, p. 101-103 - The mini body is not connected when Sechs is complaining to Deckman 100 about getting fixed
-Vol. 14, p. 10-13 - When Sechs is thinking about how Zekka can be at supersonic speed even while standing still the mini body is not connected

I didn't like Kishiro to use the same system to kill Toji as the one he used ito Kill Tuned 2 . That was epic it was a near death situation an the attac was fantastic . But use it to take down n opponent like Toji ( i know he whent in super mode ) that was used as toy few chapter ago . It seems a waste for me

Can't see her going to Mars with access to an entire planet's magnetic field, and the energy to spontaneously regenerate at will. She will probably keep the Fata Morgana, but I'm pretty certain the reactor will be kaput pretty soon now.

Wormhole vs anti-matter, and I doubt bathing everything in nice warm Scalar Waves would do anything to improve the situation.

If Alita has truly become the Heisenberg Uncertainty Cat, bending quantum/karmic vibrations to alter her destiny in combat, then Zekka's Dragon Slaying Method might be a good counter to it. He's stated that it destroys an opponent spiritually as well as physically, which might mean that he's found a way to use anti-matter to deaden/snuff the Karmatron Waves that make "ghosts" like Tunpo possible. Spooky possibility.

My guess is that Brain Alita is living the end of the original Manga; turning the Jeru-Salem complex into a pseudoorganic flower, then becoming fully organic and found by Figure 4. Nova is no longer a menace and the world won't ever be the same again.

That, or, thanks to Fata Morgana, and actually being within Mendelvi...-erm, the super-computer, the brain is synchec with the brain chip.

An interesting thought occurred to me. If the Dragon Slaying Method can really destroy things spiritually the way Zekka claims, it might be a good method for finally ridding herself of Colonel Payne...
