Kind of bored, but I really do feel this way.
There was so much that was unknown in the world of Gally. She was SOOOOO bad ass.
The chapter titled "Hellbeast: Dog eat dog" was insane to me. It opened up with a pinup that is probably the sexiest image from BAA ever, then the story starts with what happens after she narrowly avoids a direct hit from a howitzer. Then is got exciting.
It was so good. The scenes of her against the socket soldiers, every punch hitting brain. Up till that point we knew so little about the world in the story, but at that moment, what it meant to be a martian cyborg soldier going for brain kills became very clear.
I loved the motorball arc, and then went back for the first arc as a graphic novel, but book four, up to the "romantic" ending was so amazing to me.

Volume 5 as a whole. Looking good, looking good... BAM, EVERYTHING changes.
Still, just rereading the part you mentioned; awesome fight scene.
