The thought of hearing those boots smashing against a hard surface is unsettling.

I think Gally's boots were meant to look somewhat like tire treads, not teeth. I do see the resemblance though.

Here's an early shot of the boots. The way they're drawn here makes the sole look like teeth because of movement.

Later on though we see that the soles are more like standard boots but seen from the sides they do look like teeth.
