There's a big difference here. Communication - especially in the way Kodansha has handled it - is a huge plus, and this is a positive sign for the future of Battle Angel Alita: Last Order.

I agree, it was a very tactful move from them, in the end it is the the works of fans trying to help the series or sate the appetite of other fans. It couldn't be helped that they would have some issues with the scanlations, its understandable.

We have nothing to blame Kodansha of. We well know that releasing unauthorized translations of a product that belongs to them is an intellectual product theft. No matter how common is this habit. I think we should appreciate the calm and the reasonability with which they handled the situation, that gave us the opportunity to be still hear discussing ablout baalo.

Anyway, i still don't get if, apart from the scalations, are we still allowed to post external links to raws and translations as forum posts?

Wow. Holy crap.. i mean if they were "interested" in scanlations it just means that your scanlations were/are top-quality. Even publisher had to admit that Thats good point publisher acknowogled your skills as translators typesetters and proofreaders

or they have just greedy-bastard politics.
