I know that I usually just lurk (shame on me), but I couldn't ignore the end of Last Order.

I'm not sure if like such a quick mop-up (though I'm thankful that Ido had a chance to go back to being his old self), but this has to be one of the saddest endings I've ever read.
And to think that back then when it was revealed that the "current" Gally had a chip in her head and her brain in the box, I thought that my speculation of two Gallys was just a silly, far-fetched idea... I was even hoping that he wouldn't develop the plot in that direction, as - aside from being horrifying - I was afraid that it would end as a convoluted mess, plot-wise speaking.

Thank you for your usual great work, Guren.

Now, to wait for the summer...
This is going to be a very interesting year in terms of manga and anime which I like.

organic Gally should have memories up to the moment of her death by the doll bomb. So, in a way, Kishiro has said goodbye to the "original" Gally - the Gally whom we know from Gunnm. A nice way of recreating the end of the original series. Though I can't help but have this feeling that we will see organic Gally and Figure again. I wouldn't be surprised if two Gallys ended up working together at some point. I think I would like to see that. (I would also like to see more of Sechs, but that's another story.)

As someone has already theorized here, Both Alitas will be fused in the end. If Aga Mbadi could have three brain chips, with three different personalities, to his organic brains, Alita will have no difficulty to attach her own brain chip to her organic brain, thus becoming one.

I will be pissed if the bunnies are irrelevant disposable villains. They embody a lot of fantasies for me as fun loving, cute cyborgs that are friends with the primary characters. Mini powerful Sechs is pretty fun. Even as is, he would be a solid contribution to the Mars effort.

I brought this up in the raw thread. It seems unlikely that two minds can share, given what we have seen in the world so far. Nova X with two brains is extra evil, and Trinidad seems to be keeping the extra brains as prisoners that do his bidding. Tunpo had very not nice words for Trinidad when he yanked the extra brain bio chips out. So with that, I think YK is asserting that our heroine won't be sharing brains, because that is for bad guys.

I guess the big question will be if full flesh Alita has memories of Mars, which I think is likely because I kind of just assumed that was a byproduct of being Karmatron healed from the exploding cabbage patch kid. It makes sense that before he copied her to bio chip alita, he fixed her first.

I also think that her memory stopped when she got blown up. So both have equal memories up to that point, then bio chip Alita lived out the Last Order.

I agree with Martin. I can see two Gallys cooperating, but I think that the eventual fusion of two Gallys seems unlikely.
