I have not even seen a date for it on Yukito's website! So indeed it might be quite far from now.
But is there enough chapters out already?
I think we are still missing 1 or 2

I checked the prior LO release dates and except for Vol. 18 the gap between most of the tankobon and GN releases has been at least a year, even before the change in publishers.

That date was a complete stab in the dark on our part. It might conceivably be earlier if the tankobon comes out earlier in Japan. The problem is, the Japanese Vol. 18 fed out to retailers a week before its release, so we didn't have any lead time. We're simply assuming the same thing will happen again.

And from my perspective, the No. 1 contributor to scanlations/piracy is fan impatience.

I'm guessing Tunpo and Ido will come up as future cover characters for the New Edition. The work on those is some of YK's best cover artwork IMO.

I don't quite well understand. On the new cover for volume 19 there is tunpo, Ido, the mother of Pam (who I don't recall her name) and koyomi. What kind of new edition are you talking about?

I don't know how many new editions should be out. Don't you think it should be over now that it already catched up the current edition?

But you're right, the artwork is beautiful on those new editions cover, the ones of Xazi and Zekka are particularly amazing. I kind of regret not buying them just for the covers.
I hope Yukito's gonna give us those artworks in his artwork book that should come up.

After YK switched over from Shueisha to Kodansha, Kodansha started publishing reissues of Last Order because they don't want their readers to buy the Shueisha versions which came out years ago, right? These are called the Last Order New Edition and have different cover artwork that features individual characters. The vol. 11 and 12 New Edition for example feature Toji and Figure.
