There is another thing that puzzels me. Was Tsai also a necrosoldier and member of Einherjar? And if so, why was he there and how did he come there?

All that Gergt guy is missing is a Victorian getup; top hat, double-breasted vest, cravat, a handlebar mustache to evilly twirl and all.
"HAHAHAHAHA! A CHILD, ALITA. A WEEEEEEEE CHIIIIIILD WITH A BOMB IN HIS SHIRT! FETCH!"
Seriously, I giggled a bit. Not sure if that was YK's intent, but yeah.
The ending, on the other hand, now that was interesting.

Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 009 (part 2) Is out!
I remember that in volume 7 of the French edition of LO p.15, Crow refers to a certain "Gelukt" as being the one who suggested that Alita should perform operation Maülwurf. However when I referred to it, I was told that it was a translation mistake, and that they were referring to Gerda. Which I had no trouble believing given all the mistakes one can find in it. But now i am wondering if this was not a reference to this character which had not been introduced hitherto.
Afterall Gergt sounds pretty close to Gelukt. Ge-ru-koto in japanese (well I think).
Which means that Kishiro has been planning to introduce him for years.
If this is the case kishiro has had everything mapped pretty close for a very long time, that's really amazing. But after seeing that the prototype for the berserker gun, which has just been introduced in the last couple of chapters, had been drawn on the cover of BAA's very first volume I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.

The Gunnm: Martian Memory PlayStation game from 1998 and Last Order/Mars Chronicle have a lot of similarities, though the plotlines are far from identical. I wouldn't be surprised if Yoko's origin story from the game is still canon, especially given that she's presented as having always had a cyborg body.
Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 009 (part 2) Is out!
I double checked the katakana Tyzkrow uses when he refers to Gergt (ゲルクト Gerukuto) and it's the same. Viz has the name as Kaulquappe instead (German for tadpole) and Kodansha kept it. I'm curious about this as they made some name changes that reflect what actually appears in the text.
Given that Tzykrow as the Kammer Gruppe instructor was a Hoher Krieger, being overruled by a Meister (the next one up in the hierarchy) makes more sense. His attitude sounds like he was not an Einherjar as he called Gergt a buffoon for choosing her for the mission over his objections.

Thank you for your hard work.
I think Kimji is the puppeteer.
I'm getting tired of this line of development...

I don't know.. So far this Martian Chronicles doesn't catch me at all.
The childwood backstory? Inconcludent.
Hey, see! Erika already! And of all the expectations they just have to rumble.
Lo! A bigger big guy out of nowhere! He know everything and... no, gone already.
The pissed Zazie looks good though. That would have been a hell of a start for the new arc.
Let's see if the story improves.

Hm, as strange as this might sound, I think that awareness of being a necro-soldier suits the Panzerkünstler ethos well.
I'm just sad that the Parabellum guy didn't turn out to be miraculously (ha!) revived Bertram... For a guy that was featured on a handful of pages, I'm rather fond of him.
But yeah, I'd say that the end of this chapter got me way more interested than the previous two reveals/cliffhangers. And not only because of a new team of badass girls and Zazie being back.
(Hey, hey, does this mean that we're going to see Sechs fairly soon, too?)

There isn't any clue in any sense, but I think that Tsai isn't a necrosoldier. He running away and finishing working for Trinity, would agree with his personality in my opinion.
I don't know if there isn't a clue. Perhaps he isn't a necrosoldier, but here is something to think about. Something isn't right. Tsai was one of Gally's instructors and trained her for Operation Maulwerf which failed. He was pissed off at Gally because she should have died (self-destructed) in her first fight with Caerula. Was this so she could become a necrosoldier at that time? The technology was already there.
He also knew there were survivors from Grunthal and he knew that they would be hostile towards Gally. He must have had contact with the survivors of Grunthal after it was wiped out. There's a big chanche that he had, at some point, at least contact with Einherjar. He might be a groveling sicophant, a bully and bad teacher but I don't believe he was a coward. I think that there was another reason he was there, besides guarding Melchizedec.

I don't think that if Gally had self-destructed, there would have been enough rests to make a necrosoldier. I suppose that the self-destruction would be very similar to the way that Gally ended in the original Gunnm. Nova reconstructed her (GLO Ch.1), true, but Nova is supposed to be a genius and he is the only one with that technology (GLO Ch.1 Page.8-9).

Tsai didn't know that there were survivors from Grunthal. When Gally asked him if there were any more survivors, he said: "Everyone disappeared... Even if there are survivors except me..." (GLO. Ch.38 Page.14). So he didn't know that there were any more survivors.
For the same reason, I don't think that contacted with Einherjar.

He told to his student to self-destruct and he licked Trinity's foot (GLO Ch.75 Page.8 ). If he isn't a coward, I dont know what he is.

Re: Gunnm - Mars Chronicle 009 (part 2) Is out!
My read on the suicide bit was always to prevent capture and avoid being traced to Grunthal. This failed because Yoko tried to fight Caerula instead. Besides, if Grunthal wanted to turn Yoko into a necro soldier, they would need access to her body and if it was in Ketheres it would be out of reach.
This is a revision to the original Battle Angel version of how Yoko ended up on Earth as a final attempted suicide mission to blow up the Orbital Ring with nuclear bombs that was stopped when a mysterious force attacked their ship. But it still shows how fanatical the Kunstlers were to the point of being willing to take on suicide missions.

You are right. But the point here was that there wouldn't be enough rests of Gally to turned her into a necrosoldier, and being in Ketheres it would be out of reach too (I don't know why I didn't think about it before.

I read the last chapters, but I don't remember it because I bought the reprinted version with GLO in mind and already without them.
