Alita (cat) CosPlay

Post by jjaquinta »

My Alita obsessed kid wants to cosplay her at her party this weekend. She wants to play her as she was at ZOTT, with the tail, funky boots and trench-like coat. Has anyone seen a good cosplay of this outfit? Anyone got a good high-res scan of this? Most of what I find in google image search is kind of small.

It is better than I would expect.

I think the tail should be better thought.
A great problem, the facial tattoo, seems to be well worked. If it is possible to give it a metallic color, better.

A curiosity: how old is your daughter?

Great pictures! That gives me a lot of the detail I need. I don't remember the little waistcoat like thing, but that will sure make the whole thing hang together better. And, from the few color pictures I remember I thought it was tan, not white. That helps a lot, we'll see if I can carry it off.

I reached for the black makeup for the panzer kunst marks on her face, but she said to use red, since Alita drew them in blood. So that's what we're going to go with.

My daughter is 9, but is fierce beyond her years. :-) Here is a picture where we tried to "Alita-ify" her SCA Youth Combat helmet. Hopefully this next project will be a bit more compelling!

Good Cosplay. I never liked the 3d printed style of the outfit.

Heh carefull Sergio, she has this weird look in her eyes.
She might mow you down with that katana.

If she had fun with it, then its mission accomplished.
The cat costume is not the easyest one to replicate.
Thumbs up!

Thanks! I was all set for elbow-blades. Was going to modify a wrist protector to support it and all. Then she picked the cat costume and Alita didn't really use those so much at that stage. So I dropped them. Then, 30 minutes before the party, she asked if we could do the elbow blades! She settled for the katana.

But, yeah, she had fun. None of the other kids had a clue who she was. But she was OK with that. She liked the faux boots so much she wore them to school as well. :-) Thanks everyone for the suggestions, help and encouragement!

How unexpected, she's from Brazil. I'd like to cosplay Kimji http://orig05.deviantart.net/90d8/f/200 ... elmias.jpg
