I know you dislike me and I know it isn't without motive, I am the one to blame because in the past I said mean things about you. I left that far behind now and would like to take this chance to apologize to you.
My criticism regarding the way Kishiro have been driving the plot is another subject. I consider myself a fair person, I praise what I think deserves to be praised, I criticise what deserves to be criticised and I ignore what doesn't worth the trouble. I have been following Alita for almost twenty years now, I love this manga otherwise I would have dropped it already - and I seriously drop things, I grew up reading Marvel and I dropped all of it because it became plain crap, thus I'm not a masochist. The dearest an opus is to me, the hardest I hit the mallet on it if it becomes bad. I know my positioning tends to be extreme in many subjects, this is the way I am, deal with it.
I may be the loudest, however I am not the only one displeased with this arc of the plot, the rundabouts, the new characters, the lack of ass kicking. By the other hand, you seem to be the only one that is ok about the way things are going. Also you, Sergio, are wrong by comparing manga to high level literature, manga is art of masses, art of consume, in this way it is more alike to soap opera. Very often we see in the margin of the pages requests from the authors to the readers to write their impressions about the work and mail it to him/her. Much like a soap opera, a manga is an open work, if the feedback from the readers isn't good, the author hurries to change plot otherwise the manga may be shortened or even cancelled. There have been many cases, I can number some if you want. Franz Kafka wasn't thinking about eventual readers when he wrote his books, he sold none of them when he was alive, but you bet a bestseller writer is always thinking about how to please his/hers readers.

Once again I think it would be better to see if there is a way send feedback to Kishiro himself or to Kodansha, instead of wasting my Latin (Saxon?) here.
Honestly, I think it's okay to voice your opinion as it is constructive and not too hate filled. The only thing I despise when people voice their opinions, is when they make themselves sound like elitist (too condescending) or self-entitled people who come off as very selfish. The rest I don't care, I still love battle angel Alita because the matter of fact is I'm still interested in the mystery (alita and nova at the present, dasein, panzer kunst, Alita's clone, how alita lost her imaginos body, sibler family and so much questions)

I did mention I'm impatient but I don't consider it a bad feeling, it's just a result from me liking a series so much that I'm so eager to see more just to get a clear direction and I'm seriously in those question getting answered. Being blunt Mars Chronicles is better than most series that I read (mostly shonen). Just most people are comparing it the first series and how they got to read at a fast pace with the all chapters released.

You should read more seinen, it is where the really good stuff is.
I don't know what to expect from Battle Angel Alita anymore, if from one side there are still many loose threads to tie and open paths to follow, by the other side, when the art drops in quality, usually it is a signal that the author is tired and the work will go downhill. Yet I keep reading hoping for the best.

You got to admit though Mars Chronicle's art is still better than most modern artist where they heavily rely on the annoying excessive moe/loli archetypes.

I don't compare works that are dissimilar. Yukito style is pretty unique, it was born in the 1980's and matured in the 1990's, I like artists that have, like him, have a strong and easily recognizable drawing. However it is true that many mangakas that have strong skills falls on the easy appeal of the fanservice.

While I would agree on that, I notice most artist really on making characters that has such shiny huge eyes , have no nose and mostly make them look different by giving different haircuts instead of having a different face frame

Finally after more than a year Yukito Kishiro stopped skipping issues after the second half chapter routine (I've been recording, every second half chapter he skips one issue this time he didn't  ) Yes thank you, still I'm impressed Yukito could draw this detailed, haven't see him draw this detailed or graphic in ages. Looking forward to see issue 13 and issue 14 soon.

Actually i think that Gally born as a maske tumor perfectly fits into GUNNM main theme, which is, don't forget it, the definition of the nature of the human persona.

Is a machine body and biological brain individual a human persona?
Is a biological body and artificial mind a human persona?
Is a machine body and artificial mind but with the identity and memories of a human being a human persona?
Are several of them the same persona or different ones?
Is a clone a human persona?
Is a revived body the same persona of before?
Is a biological human being and her fully aritificial counter part who share her identity the same persona?

and now:

Is a pat of someone's body who developed individual identity a human persona?

After all the noise around "Attack on Titan" I read it. It took me about six volumes to be able to tell the difference between the characters. I saw the movie after about volume 3 and only then realized that what I thought was a female character was actually male.
