Kishiro strikes again - Origin of Moon Child

I was browsing through TVTropes when I stumbled upon a reference which I did not expect.

Aleister Crowley, famed occultist (and con man...) wrote a book called Moonchild. The titular Moonchild is the offspring of a magician, who claims he wants to improve humanity. Of course it is all a bit more complicated than that, but the gist of it is that the Moonchild is supposed to be the result of impregnating a human with a pure spirit.

Compare to Whophon, which is the result of genetic manipulations, which the doctor considers as his "chaotic child" and who has powerful magic(k)al powers. And he is of course a child born on the Moon.
Contrast with M'Badi, who is pretty much a representation of a technological wizard, completely materialist and an embodiment of the nietzschean will to power, with an emphasis on order.

I know that Kishiro goes a long way to slip references into his work (still remember the "homme du feu" references to an obscure Jules Verne novel), but I have to admit this one took me by surprise.
