More build up but the interesting kind I wonder how all of this will become cohesive later down the road. Seems like after this arc the training arc will begin most likely or the creator throws us another curveball.

This series does have amazing feats as the creator seems to just use the concept called "The rule of cool" I mean Unye spinning 4 ak-47s around in a child's body those gun weight at least 14kg excluding clips. But admittedly it is insanely over the top but Gunnm can be like that at times admittedly

I've never had a problem with Gunnm being occasionally over-the-top, and Unye's strength can easily be explained as hysterical strength (or just called "berserk", which would be way funnier in the context of this series).

I'm just not a huge fan of subsequent revelations that make Alita more and more special. Sure, I know that she's the protagonist and all, and that it's a super popular trope, but, in general, Kishiro writes quality stuff - and that makes me have higher expectations.

Fair enough i see your point it is like mas oyama being the only person in the world that we know who is capable of killing a bull with his bare fist in one punch. One thing I can agree is the special aspect how she is the chosen one since she is the 7th oracle according to the priest i hope it doesn't use the chosen one aspect in a generic way as I think that is overdone. I hope it plays out that plot point well but the series seems to bring up the concepts of fate and destiny a lot at times. Could be a world line convergence of some sorts.

. I did not mind it personally that yoko revelation as I like it as a callback feels like it was better hinted at(first chapter of the series, Mars chronicle ch.9) then her being an oracle which came out of left field.

But I'm just telling you what I think and you don't have to feel the same way.
