i'm french, and it makes me laugh because we usually say people living in the north of France do eat people ( that may be true, but it's rare, but when it happens, it's in the north )
In Brazil, during the military dictatorship, there was a joke saying that communists used to eat children. Ironically, in an interview, a communist militant was asked by the reporter if he used to eat children. Still ironically, he answered that he had eaten an eight-year-old girl two days before, but she looked like nine. It was funny especially because in Portuguese, the verb comer can mean both eat and fuck, so you can imagine the puns people like to make. The militant was no way admitting pedophilia. He was just answering an absurd legend with another absurd.
One thing I forgot to say: in Kishiro's story, Brazilians would have all the reasons to laugh if the childeaters were the Jovians, after all, traditionally, Russians, not French, were communists.

Not to make more US propaganda. All those German scientist, after the WWII when they were taken to the USA for the US space program, they revealed that they were inspired by an American named Robert H. Goddard. Ironically, he was the pioneer in this field and nobody in the USA took interest in his research. He was mocked at and never received any recognition during his life. Eventually he was recognized as one of the father of modern rocket science.
And we should not forget the Russian scientist Konstantin Tsiolkovsky.
He was the first scientist that wrote articles how man could travel outer space. He designed spaceships, liquid fueled rockets, made mathematical relation he formulated between the changing mass of a rocket as it burns fuel, the velocity of exhaust gases, and the rocket’s final speed. Really impressive that he wrote that in around 1911-1914.

Kamui04 transcribed it as Kudryavka, what seems more appropriate, if I remember the rules well.
Phonetically, that is the correct Latin equivalence.
Her name was "Laika" since the fly, and that's how you should call her ever, I think. I can't explain why, but it seems more respectful, to my mind, for her. But nevermind... Did you all liked Gally on pages 12-13?
