Actually, we do know that she certainly wasn't male at any point in the series' history. Desty Nova did karyotyping on the tissues he recovered after she was blown up by the doll bomb, revealing that her brain was XX and not XY.

No. You can have gender mismatch even if you're girl and have XX genotype. It's all up to hormones. So there's still posibillity about 1-3‰

Maybe she was build a robot completely, came to Venus once, got a human brain, forgot all about her mechanical past and now thinks "Just my brain is made out of flesh but I am so very human you know"

Or maybe she was an octopus in her former life? Or she comes from outer space and is an Octoparian. Being born on Mars is just implanted memory, like "Total Recall"

just to make the think clear to i only want to look to the kind of woman to make justice to the beauty that alita have just that i know that everithing in this forum love alita like i do and in the movie i like to see something beautifull, personally i dont care the actrees or cgi i just like to see something beautifull in screen, and most important the story about her be somethig spectacular like the manga that we love just that, i dont care musical taste or race taste i just love alita and like a said i just want too see something beautifull
