No English language version was published, according to Wikipedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GUNNM:_Gaiden), thus you will find it only if you have good Japanese stores in your city.

You made me curious. I will check the original mangas stores here in São Paulo.

Well I found them. Now I must wait for it to get here. Supposedly the books are significantly bigger than the Viz ones and include a DVD. I don't have a scanner but I can post photos of the good bits if anyone is interested.

That's the big books with the 3D rendered cover, right?
They were published in France, and may still be available there.
Lots of interesting stuff in these, especially the bonus stories and the videogame making of.
I don't remember "another ending", but IRC it ends when Nova destroy Gally with the robot kid bomb, just after the Granite inn fight.

They are in japanese and some of the covers do seem to be 3d renders. I'm mainly getting them for the enlarged art.

Ok they've arrived and I am really pleased with them. Does anyone know how to get good pictures of the extra pages without creasing the spine?

Nearly impossible.

Even things like this require you to fully open the pages you are scanning.

What you could try...
A good enough digital camera positioned so that you can catch a single page without creasing the books too much.

A tripod or another person for help would probably come in handy.
But look around you ...
Death and Light are everywhere, always, and they begin, end, strive,
attend, into and upon the Dream of the Nameless that is the world,
burning words within Samsara, perhaps to create a thing of beauty.

I'm pretty sure I've seen somewhere some scanners that allow you to scan in a book open to 90°.
But yeah, the digital camera is probably the easiest solution. Will probably require a lot of cleaning job, sadly.

Nice stuff. Kishiro's pencil work is really gorgeous, even for his old stuff.

lol at the last pages, they look like some fetish fanart pages from deviant art... Hmm, NagaGally. I'd hit it.

Thats not only nice stuff, thats hot fucking awesome stuff! I mean, its the beginning of Gunnm, scetches we never saw before. Analyses of fights; we can see how Kishiro works (i.e. I recognize some elements of the fight vs. Figure Four, or vs. the hunterwarrior who killed Yugos family).
We have a huuuge timeline (although its in japanese^^) and some funny, fanboyish fill-ins (or what that is called).
I love the scetches on page 13 :)

many many thanks to kvhokuto, for ordering, waiting and sharing :D
