I used to have the Vol 1 front cover as my wallpaper on my laptop.
Well a few months ago, my old roommate asked to use my laptop. When he gave it back he asked who the cyborg girl on my wallpaper was. I explained to him about BAA, and then he told me that this girl in his boxing class had several tattoos of Alita on her body and he always wondered where they came from.

Great idea for a thread. I love how her design evolves with her personality. Although I do wish her LO design would go back to one or more of her original series looks (or at least something in the same general style). The last order designs--at least since volume 3 or so-- have too much crosshatching, and her facial expression is almost always a variant on a vacant eyed stare. I want a return to the emotionally dynamic Alita!

her design evolves with the author's experience at drawing her.
first volumes of manga are always weird drawings
Experience is the name everyone gives to their mistakes. (Oscar Wilde)
Corporations have no soul to save, and they have no body to incarcerate. (Baron Thurlow)
The quality of the drawing improoved drastically through the years, yet i don't really like the GLO versions of her, she looked more womanly in later chapters of Gunmm.
yeah i have to say i liked her befor but the hair being tame is kinda better but she look's to plain now. and i dont realy like the tail, it remind's me of ryoko form tenchi muyo> ryoko is an other fav charter of mine, so it seam copy'ing. but what eve id like to see more of alita in glo
its perfect so stark so merciless so plain in its beauty the absolute purity...of the true panzer kunst.
